Crust was average in the context of places that specialise in pizza- its best feature was it wasn't wet in the middle. Toppings were thin even for a non American style pizza. Soft drink tasted old like when you leave half a bottle in the fridge and go away for a month. Pretty offended by that actually. The serving girl... More

We went there with my boss and colleagues. First we were asked to wait for 10 minutes although they had tables available (5 empty tables around us). Then it was very long wait for the drinks(20 min). Finally when actual pizza came it was almost cold and tasteless. So i guess MAD pizza is ideal name for this restaurant because... More

It is a bit busy and cramped so when we were there it was easier to sit outside but there is a vibe here. We enjoyed a variety of pizzas shared with friends. Service was fine too.

Pizza was delicious & unique for us - like one with lamb? Not our favorite but the rest were amazing.

I've visited here a couple of times and the staff are always really friendly. Normally go in the afternoon for the lunchtime deal as for $12.50 you get pizza, rocket side salad and a soft drink. Dinner is a little more expensive but still worth it. Pizzas are always really fresh and service is fantastic. Would really recommend!

Got a take away pizza . Asked for the most meaty pizza possible... just because I like it. :-) They obliged and I got a nice amount of carnivorous delight on pizza bread . Oh - and tons of cheese. Can't tell about the atmosphere there - but it was the best take away pizza in Oz !

Didn't have pizza but did have the arancini balls, calamari, meatballs, prawns and various salads. All delicious! This is a licenced place with tables inside and outside. Highly recommend!

2 of us found this small place by accident. The Lady who served us was just fantastic. Helpful and knew everything about the food served. We both chose Pizzas and they were perfect - thin crumbly base with excellent toppings. My big gripe and even a complaint are the Wine prices - ridiculous for a cafe - $42.00 which was... More

There are so many places to choose from on this stretch of road that I had a hard time making a decision. But once I committed to eating at Mad Pizza, I knew it was the absolute right choice. My server was friendly and helpful, as well as attentive. I had their lunch special that consisted of a pizza, small... More

We are 'Mad' about creating the most unique pizza experience in Australia. Our labour of love started in Sydney, from our belief in a demand for a healthier option, unseen in this country before. So we developed the Super thin & Healthy Pizza base, and topped it with only the finest of ingredients. We then employed the friendliest of staff, and found the coolest of locations, with the funkiest of soundtracks along the way; with this we believe we have one of the most unique, health conscience and authentic pizza experiences in Australia! It has taken thousands of hours of tasting and testing by friends, family and customers alike, culminating in our version of the prefect pizzeria. So do as the Italian's do and that's to eat with love and laughter. Salute!!

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
