Nice venue and varied selection of foods. Not sure how the staff cope when the venue is busy as there was only 1 chef making omelettes and other egg requests and a number of people waiting with no system in place for orders. Chefs were very friendly though. The replenishing of pancakes and waffles was also quite slow.Waiting staff were very lacklustre in collecting plates and engaging with guests. Quite surprised to find tea and coffee not served at table considering it a 5 star property. Overall the breakfast is good but service in many areas could definitely be improved.

Hello Bails04, Thank you for taking the time to review our breakfast service, glad you enjoyed our array of cuisine available. We do have a queue area/barricade for the omelette station however allow the Chef to interact with the guest directly as depending on their order the wait time can be different. None the less we have definitely taken your comments on board. During busy times it can be challenging for our staff to keep up, we are sure you can understand with restaurant orientated businesses it can be difficult to predict the number of guests who will show. Whilst we do our best to forecast and roster enough staff to assist, occasionally we do get caught out and we are sorry if it felt this way during your visit. We will remind our team of the importance of engaging with our guests with a more personalised approach. We hope to see you return soon for an even better experience. Regards, Harvest Buffet Sydney Management Team

Great place to please everyone.... a great variety from Asian to salads Plenty of seafood on a not seafood day and everything is continually topped up. Have to say Asian was my personal favorite with the soups and pipi’s, great chef in the area. Dessert; what a truly lovely man behind the counter sweet and happy to serve ❤️ Definitely will be returning as it pleased everyone.

We had a very enjoyable experience at Harvest Buffet. The decoration is spot on, the staff are professional and accommodating and thumbs up for the cleanliness. In addition to fresh seafood, there are international cuisines such as Chinese (roast duck, char siu), Thai (DIY noodles bowl), Indian, Mediterranean, desserts (my fave is cheesecake it is perfect), and beverages. I just wish there is a lemon water bowl to wash my hands after eating seafood, just like the other seafood buffet places. There is an option to top up $5 per person for unlimited soft drinks, which I don’t recommend. Just order a jug of drinks later and share it with the group. Also, if you have a membership with The Star, you get 50% off for everything, including beverages on the menu.

To say we were disappointed is an understatement. After paying 90 dollars per person,we expected a lot more than what we got. There was a small selection of Asian food, ALL which was cold, a small selection of meats, all were cold, the pizza section had a few different varieties, however, all tastes the same, which was like dough. Desert selections were great, and everything tasted nice, however, in general, it all tasted the same. But luckily, it was nice food. Great to see so many attentive waiters and cleaners on the floor, however, being asked over and over and over again if they can take your plate whilst still eating became slightly frustrating. Overall, unfortunately, we won't be heading back.

Before arriving, I called in advance and asked a member of staff if I was able to have my parking validated because we were dining at the restaurant. I had read this online, but wanted to confirm, to which they said yes! Upon arrival, I was told that we weren’t able to have our parking validated on a Friday or Saturday night. I understood this however this was not what I was told over the phone only 30 minutes before. Once entering, I was taken by the food court atmosphere. The music was loud, I couldn’t hear my husband from across the table, and there was a certain chaos around the room, not the atmosphere that I had expected when booking. Aside from the seafood, the menu provided was average buffet food, not worth the price tag. For the price, I was expecting things that I hadn’t seen before. This was particularly frustrating after we had to unexpectedly fork out for our parking as well. I guess all experiences are worth at least one try, but it is not an experience that I would recommend or return to.

Booked for their seafood buffet on a Friday evening for a family of four. Very busy but well organised set up. My wife and I came for the seafood and weren’t disappointed. Lovely fresh oysters, prawns, swimmer crabs, mussels and clams. Wide selection of other foods too that kept our children satisfied. Opted for the $5 per person unlimited soft drinks offer (note that everyone in the party has to take this offer, not just the children). Plates and tables were kept clean by attentive staff. It is a little bit pricey but the quality of the food is very good for a buffet of this nature.

Recently stayed at the Star Casino for a weekend and as part of our package, breakfast was included at the adjoining buffet. First morning (SUNDAY) was very good, while it was busy there were plenty of choices and the food kept being regularly replaced. Staff seemed to be doing an excellent job and overall it was very good. The next morning (MONDAY) was the polar opposite. Restaurant was only a third full, yet food was running out and not being replaced. At one stage we asked for more bread to make toast, so the staff member opened a lower cupboard which was full of loaves of bread, then only put 6 slices out and shoved the rest back away. There were tables everywhere full of dirty plates and food, to the point that you needed to clear a table yourself to be able to use it. Even when they were eventually cleared, the food scraps were left on and under the tables on the floor. Over all a very dissapointing experience.

We used to love going to the Harvest Buffet prior to Covid so when we saw that they had a 2 for 1 Seafood Lunch we jumped on and made a reservation but even at that price it was a huge disappointment. There was very little variety of seafood (ok I know it was half price). There were fresh prawns and tiny scallops on the half shell. When I saw the chilli blue swimmer crabs I thought yummy but there was absolutely no meat inside them they were just a very messy waste of time. The best food of the day was the vegetable spring rolls because they were piping hot. We’re not big dessert eaters but because the savoury foods were so disappointing we thought we’d have dessert but they were also very disappointing. Prior to getting in to sit down the whole set up was just chaotic. I hope they pick up their game because we’d like to keep going there.

This buffet restaurant is very hard to locate. I was there same time last year and I still have trouble finding it. In my view if you can't find this restaurant, don't bother, you have not miss much. There are the same type of menu as last year, except the quality has gone down, especially the oysters. They are tiny. The pippies are tasteless. The mussels required inserting your knife to open them To get them, you had to queue at least 10 minutes and the restaurant only give you 1 and 1/2 hours to finish your expensive lunch. The Chinese section is like last time very poorly presented with non Chinese food. I give the char siu 1 out 5. The spring rolls does not contain shredded vegetable but an unrecognised miss of mash potatoes. The fried rice looks like discarded left over boiled rice. I have yet to taste the har gui (prawn dumpling) and Peiking duck. These are openly advertise on their visual display monitor while I was waiting for the restaurant to open. I am Chinese Australian, I was embarrassed by this poor selection of food from this section. But all is not lost, I ate beautiful fresh tiger prawns and grilled barramundi, like last year. This year I ate the best ox tail stew in my life. This is my instruction how to get to this place by light rail. Get off at the Star stop. Take the escalator up. Turn left into main walk way from the narrow alley walk way. Follow this main walkway by keeping left. You will walk past a lot of restaurants. in an arc to the left. Keep walking for 10 minutes, enter the 2nd lift well. If you miss this lift well, you will reach the Star City Casino main entrance. You have to walk back a few steps. Use the first lift, because this is the only lift to Harvest. I am only giving you this instruction, because a lot of people got lost in this huge complex, including me..

I recently dined at Harvest Seafood Buffet with my party of five at The Star in Sydney, and unfortunately, it was a far cry from the expectations set by its title as the "best buffet in Sydney." Despite an early seating at 5 pm, the promised freshness and flavor were lacking, with meats resembling cured jerky and a seafood selection that seemed to have been sitting for hours. Our disappointment extended to the lack of attention to allergies despite noting two (coconut and shellfish) in our reservation comments. The pre-service brief on allergies appeared overlooked, requiring me to personally approach the chef stations for information. This not only inconvenienced us but raised concerns about allergen management. The service was equally disheartening. Inquiring about children's crockery was met with a dismissive response, and seeking allergy information was a cumbersome process, leading to misinformation and the need for personal investigation. For a buffet priced at $94.90 per head, the overall experience fell short in terms of service, food quality, and atmosphere. Sadly, I cannot recommend Harvest Seafood Buffet based on these issues.

It was a really busy Sunday lunch buffet and we came in without a booking because the website mentioned no reservation required. It turned out most people (probably regulars) had booked and got the check in priority because they kept pushing in and skip the queue. Luckily, the man at the check in counter, Deepak, was calm and collected and treating the people at the queue fairly. That gives us a good impression from the start of our lunch. There were a lot of cuisines and desserts to choose from. The seafood was fresh and other food was tasty. Make sure to make some room for desserts and try at least one of the three giant chocolate fountains! I would also like the website to mention booking strongly suggested during weekend and busy period.

After a big 2 week holiday and then 5 days in Sydney on the way home all we wanted was some normal food. I stubbled across harvest buffet and thought that would be good, after convincing the family as they don’t like to pay a lot and it was the $79 seafood off we went and my gosh the best buffet we have all ever been too. Soo many options and defiantly get your money’s worth. Can’t wait to come back again.

We go to the Harvest Buffet at least once a month for lunch and enjoy their themed menus and so we went for the Lunar New Year lunch. The advertisement said that there would be dumplings and scallops, there were neither. In fact there was very little Chinese food. The pork belly and the red curry duck were very nice but we were disappointed overall. Even the desserts weren’t up to their usual standard. We don’t know if we would bother again.

Hello Sally, We are saddened to hear your recent visit was not as expected, please know the Asian section consists of a minimum of 7 dishes. We are sorry to hear you were unable to locate the dumplings or scallops, in future please let us know whilst dining so we can rectify on the spot. Please know your comments have been taken onboard and cascaded to the Chef team to be aware, we sincerely hope this one not so great experience does not deter you from dining in the future. Great selection of food, most of them tasted decent however few items like naan were almost empty and took long time for refill. A complimentary glass of Orange juice or soft drinks would have been great. We had to pay extra for a jug of soft drink. Friendly and accomodating staff at the check in and check out. One floor staff looked pretty annoyed collecting our plates, overworked? Overall we had an amazing family lunch.

From the moment we walked into the place we were served by the most friendliest server I've ever encountered by the name of Deepak. He checked in on us during the meal as well and asked if he could get us anything and how we were enjoying our day. 10/10 for his customer service. The food was wonderful, fresh and plentiful. The seafood was surperb and the desserts were absolutely scrumptious. We havent been to the buffet for close to 2 years and cannot wait to come back. It was a little crowded when we came in for our 1pm booking but the food stations kept replenishing the food very quickly. The only downside would be tje 1.5hrs per booking which goes by so quickly and 2hrs would be better.
