This is the best italian restaurant I have ever been. We had a salad, pasta ragu and a chocolate mousse. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. We would definitely come back to this restaurant.

With the built-in almost permanent good weather, eating is out in the back yard under roofing. Good menu, with exceptional bread and self made pastas. Like almost all food in Sydney, cheap it ain’t though!

Delicious pasta, great service, good wine, great location. I've come here for dinner and also as a big group for lunch. Both were fantastic.

I used to tell everyone, this is one of the best few sites for great pasta. I'm not so sure now. Last visit, salty, service.

We were recommended this venue, and were overwhelmed with everything form the time we walked in. We booked for two and we had a third attend with us. No problem accommodating us. The staff were attentive and providing advice on the food. We ordered different...More

Went there for hubby's birthday. Ordered the most popular home made pasta. It was delicious but it was very overpriced. The wine collection in the house was ordinary and again, overcharged. No BYOD is allowed but staff didn't even bother pairing the wine with food...More

Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney,

1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret

Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues
feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning.

If you're after an individual table I'd recommend booking. I've only ever been as a walk-in and have always been seated on the communal table (Darlinghurst). Whilst I haven't requested an individual table as a walk-in, I... More

A Tavola was established in 2007 in buzzing Darlinghurst on Victoria Street by chef owner Eugenio Maiale. A Tavola quickly earnt a reputation of being one of Sydney's best places to go for authentic Italian pasta. The long marble table is filled with loyal and regular diners - all seduced by the simplicity and honesty of Eugenio's food and especially his love of good pasta.
