What a sensational evening. All in our party had been at the venue many years ago and we all agreed it was again excellent. Great sweeping views, the menu which focused on seafood was spectacular. For the oyster lover there were numerous types to order.

Tucked away at the end of a suburban Glebe Street, it literally is a two story boathouse overlooking a ( not amazingly scenic) part of the harbour. Long famed for oysters and fish pie, all our party had a plate of some of the 13...More

Seafood speciality restaurant. Lovely outlook at night. The snapper pie is a dish that you must try. One of the waiters was a little abrupt and grumpy which one of my companions took issue with but otherwise it was a very pleasant evening.

This was our first time to the Boathouse and it didn’t disappoint. The view is lovely with the city lights lighting up the Bay. The entire menu is seafood apart from 4 dishes and is definitely on the pricey side. As a non-seafood and fish...More

It's a nice place but I didn't find it pretentious. You would be equally comfortable and at ease in suit and tie or nice jeans. Personally I went in suit with no tie.

Description
We love all good food, but we are especially passionate about Australia’s wonderful array of local fish and seafood, freshly caught every day. Oysters are one of our obsessions. And while you are exploring our daily menus or simply sharing a plate of oysters in The Boathouse Bar, you can also enjoy magical views across Blackwattle Bay to the Anzac Bridge and Sydney Fish Market from our historic boathouse home. You might even spot a few Sydney rowers gliding by.
