This is a lovely spot with good service and food. We were seated in a quiet area which we had requested as we find many places too noisy for business meetings. The fish dishes were good, though the whiting was very small for the price. Sides were fine without knocking your socks off. An entree of zucchini flowers was very tasty.

As a family we went for a birthday lunch. It was a midday booking and you wouldn't want to come late. The restaurant was well filled mostly by people from the nearby offices. The menu was quite extensive and the meal choices we made were delicious. I'm always wary of large servings, some of which will end up in the bin. That wasn't the case. Servings were a reasonable size and enough for the men in our group. I know there's a "wine room", but the restaurant wine list was somewhat limited.
If you choose this restaurant, eat inside even though there are tables on the footpath. Too much passing traffic, vehicular and foot, and you don't want to have minute particles of dust in your food.

Every time I come here, the experience is great. But the last time was fabulous. We had a party of 5, lunch time - the waitress was attentive and fun, the cocktails were properly made and really good, and of course the food was lovely. Always a pleasure to eat here, but a special thanks for the last visit.

We visited for breakfast for the first time in a while (we used to visit weekly). Alas it’s gone down hill. In terms of ambience, it’s a nice restaurant but the tables aren’t set and are covered with paper and not cloth. Staff were pleasant but the service was slow. Food took over 30 mins from ordering in a 1/3 full restaurant to arrive; coffees and juice took around 10 mins. We had to ask for water, and when glasses were replenished they repeatedly missed one. The order of one of our diners was wrong. Whilst the food was tasty, overall experience is poor. Not recommended.

Its not often you visit a restaurant 3 or 4 times a year & never find fault. Well Bambini Trust is such a restaurant. With friendly & attentive service that's not "pushy", a wine list that's extensive and menu that's varied & creative. The whole whiting, butterflied deboned & grilled is outstanding, as is the linguine prawns or the fillet steak, so tender you can cut it with a butter knife or the magnificent cheese soufflé so rich & moreish you'd better bring a letter from your cardiologist! The deserts & wine by the glass leave you feeling better about a bill that's not cheap, but well worth it.

Have not dined at Bambini Trust for a couple of years although it was once a favourite. The intimate atmosphere which maintains a sense of privacy but also celebration, the excellent menu, and well-trained staff make for a good dining experience. Last night's dinner proved that it remains a great place for a bistro meal. Oysters followed by filet steak with frites accompanied by an excellent bottle of French red proved that it remains one of the best French style bistros in Sydney. Not too much fuss, very pleasant interior, not too noisy, good service and all the standards that you wish from a bistro meal, and an excellent wine list. I could want for nothing more, well perhaps a desert.... next time.

Chose Bambini Trust to celebrate a birthday that occurred during the long lockdown. Initially offered at seat near the kitchen so requested a move to Wine Room. This was an excellent decision as it was much quieter and good ambience.
Service was attentive with wine and water being regularly topped up. Food was excellent. We shared the calamari and Buffalo Mozzarella as entrees, the calamari was cooked to perfection and the mozzarella the perfect consistency.
The yellow fin tuna was a generous and tasty main. The spaghettini with prawns had the taste of the sea. Shared the Italian meringue which was enjoyed with the recommended sweet fine and finished the meal with a macchiato
Having spent a month in Italy just prior to CoVid it was like reliving the trip.
Will definitely return to the excellent restsurant

Dining out is an anticipated orchestral experience melding quality produce, creativity of the chef, ambience of the room and helpful service and advice on food and wine. My wife and I booked a table for a wedding anniversary with high expectations. The opening entrees were a great first movement but then the clown band came on. We waited and waited for our ordered main meals only to be finally told that the kitchen management had lost our order. So we waited some more ( in fact a lot). We had our waiter commiserate, the manager apologise several times at our table but the gist of this was not about helping recover our dining experience but rather self-criticism that this error had occurred. We were offered no glass of wine during the extended wait( we had to order our own) our water glasses were constantly refilled (we were charged for a second bottle). Finally the mains arrived with my wife’s cotaletta soggy and inedible and the side vegetables arrived so late we had to reject the dish. More abject apologies from waitperson and manager followed which were now just irritating. Attempts to placate us with a mandarincello were not well received by this stage. We refused dessert and asked for the bill which had discounted absolutely nothing apart from our too late delivered vegetables. More emotional apologies on the way out. A terrible dining experience and not the celebration we had expected despite sympathetic waitpersons. We have no problem in paying a premium for the rich complete experience of dining in a good restaurant but felt let down and angry that the manager had not sought to compensate us through the bill for the chaos on the night. What a disappointment!

We did not find the menu very inventive for the prices charged. Vegetables were extra as was the bread. The wine menu is extensive , but very expensive. The atmosphere is nice as were the staff. I just feel that the food does not match the prices charged.

Our first time dining here and invited by friends. The setting and ambience of a typical European bistro, warm and inviting. Staff and service was engaging, attentive, polite and helpful.
The wine list was extensive to say the least with a range of local and overseas choices for those perhaps not at the bargain basement end of the spectrum but Bambini doesn't suggest it''s a 'cheap eats' experience - However, the food is excellent, freshly prepared and well presented and you can't complain at the cost if the value of the product is there and it is here! We had an excellent dinner, the butterflied spatchcock and veal cutlet both first class.

Disappointed with my dining experience. Limited menu and very steep prices. Maybe I chose badly. Twice cooked Gruyère soufflé was completely bland. Absolutely no flavour. To compound matters it was swimming in an anaemic white sauce. Not good.
However, I have to say that the wild boar ragu with white truffle and paparadelle was excellent. Extensive dessert list which I didnt try. Smart if expensive wine list and very helpful sommelier. Service was slick but unobtrusive
Overall, disappointing and underwhelming especially given the prices and limited menu.
There are better choices in Sydney at that price point imho.

My wife and I had dinner on Thursday night prior to exploring the Vivid exhibition in Sydney. We have been to this restaurant once before. Dropping in for a late night coffee and desert. That experience was delightful and I am please to say the same about Thursdays dinner. This restaurant does not only serve beautiful food it also offers you a dinning experience. The service is impeccable and the attention to detail regarding presentation and quality of food is excellent. No wonder this is a very busy establishment.

We decided to treat ourselves (family of six) to a Bambini Trust dinner at home. We ordered online and our partially prepared meal arrived in the afternoon. Wow…what a treat. The main; crumbed veal cutlets (which were huge)on creamy polenta was absolutely to die for as was my our entree (pretzel, pate and arancini). Topped off with tiramisu and Panna Cotta all made for a special night. Maybe not the same as dining at the restaurant but certainly a thoroughly enjoyable treat. Directions for each course made for simple preparation. Thank you to all at Bambini Trust for making our fun and delicious night possible. A wonderful lockdown distraction.

We’ve been coming to Bambini Trust Restaurant & Wine Room off and on now for years and it’s always been a great dining experience every single time. Not many restaurants can go the distance and deliver such consistently high standards, something the owners and staff should be very proud of. Everything you order is done to perfection and beautifully presented (10/10 always) - and the staff are welcoming, friendly and professional, making it a great dining experience. Bambini Trust never disappoints. I highly recommend.

This is a classy, atmospheric restaurant with elegant, delicious food and first class service. We were particular impressed by the “ can do” attitude of the chef in catering for significant food allergies of one of our party. We had a joyful night and everything was up to expectations,
