About
The rocks cafe The Rocks Cafe is one of The Rocks' favourite icons. It offers a truly European dining experience just opposite the MCA on George Street. The Cafe spans two floors and combines the best of modern Australian architecture with a traditional bohemian feel that adds genuine warmth which is echoed by the friendly staff. The Cafe is open seven days a week from 8am to late at night so you can enjoy the breakfast, lunch or dinner. The menus are updated regularly and are complimented by the daily specials where our Chief Chef exercises his flair. Just around the corner from Circular Quay it's very central to the CBD and the financial district for lunch or after work dinner with friends

Charmed by the good reviews, I popped by The Rocks Cafe for lunch. I could see why. The food and service were quite good but sitting in one of teh tables placed outside in nice weather and people watching was the icing on the cake.

Brilliant breakfasts. Unpretentious cafe with inexpensive menu and friendly but efficient service. Tables inside, outside and upstairs. Menu is available online. Highly recommended.

We had a late breakfast here, mainly because it offered well spaced outdoor seating. My big breakfast was not as good as I would have liked. The poached eggs had been cooked in very vinegary water, which tainted them, and the toast was so hard...as to be almost inedible. Coffee was a very bitter espresso blend. Service was good, although they were very busy.More

We visited this cafe for breakfast and sat at one of the tables placed on the street, now that traffic is one-way. Although quite early there was a number of people there and it had a pleasant buzz. The service was very good and the...scrambled eggs were lovely. We'd certainly eat there again when in downtown Sydney.More

My friend and I had a delicious meal and coffee. We had the delight of Sarah looking after us. She was so friendly, bubbly and went above and beyond. Definitely recommend and will be back soon. Thank you Sarah!!! :)

We were walking past, looking for somewhere for a late lunch and, lucky us, we found The Rocks Cafe. The service was excellent and the food was even better. My partner had the beef pie and he rated it 10/10. I had pumpkin and rosemary...soup and it was probably one of the best I’ve had. So tasty and piping hot. So glad we found this cafe!More

Interior booths are great for experiencing a taste of yesteryear. David provides amazing service and gives you the time of day even though most customers are tourists and unlikely to be back. All the wait staff are very friendly. Food is nice also but it’s...the all round experience you go for. Authenticity.More
