Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not the friendliest staff. They jam you in when inside and won’t let you sit outside if it is even slightly sprinkling with rain. Whatever you do, don’t touch the windows upstairs to let fresh air in - they will give you a serving. Food...is okay, large portions and coffee is not too bad. It’s the staff that let this place down. We now go across the road to the Black and White Espresso Bar. Bagels are amazing and the coffee is just as nice - super friendly staff.More

We were able to get a table inside right away. They have a very nice menu with good selections for breakfast and the menu for the rest of the day looked good as well. They took our order right away. The only thing on quibbling...about is the food took forever to come out of the kitchen. Other than that, service is great. Ambience was great. Food was delicious and reasonably priced!More

Wife and I stopped in for lunch. Ordered a beer and wine and gave server our food order. Drinks were brought to table and then the food. Server set down my fish and chips then promptly left before I could ask for malt vinegar. He...never returned and I had to ask another server for the vinegar. Food was okay but my French fries were under done. Not crispy. Our server, Victor, who I now call Mr Clueless, didn’t ask how the food was or bring us a check. Again had to have someone else help us. Worth the money, maybe but not a place to zip on down to eat there.More

We enjoyed the food and location, both great. The kangaroo burger and the pork special were both tasty. Everything else on the menu looked appealing, a place to go back to.

We spotted this cozy looking cafe when we were wandering around looking for dinner. It looked like a cute bistro from the outside, but it turned out to be a bit of a tourist trap. The serving staff were inexperienced and repeatedly delivered orders to...the wrong tables and then were being publicly berated by the manager who seemed unaware that his customers could hear him. Also, the staff were constantly looking for potential customers outside which meant that the door was kept open so that it was absolutely freezing inside with everyone wearing their big winter coats whilst eating dinner. None of the staff seemed to notice or care. The menu, prices and food were okay, but the service could be much improved.More

Everything we ate at this lovely little restaurant was delicious! We were in Sydney for three and ate at The Rocks Cafe three times, enjoying two lunches and a dinner there. The servers and staff were so kind, and the food was wonderful. From fish...and chips to bolognese, to seafood linguine, we loved it all! The king prawn bruschetta is a must try! You will not be disappointed!More

Food - We had the king Prawn bruschetta, kangaroo burger, char-grilled lamb skewers and a slice of cake, Coffee espresso crunch. Portions were generous. Food wise is ok. Kangaroo burger is worth a try but the cake is disappointing with very mild coffee taste. Service...- Staff sat 2 of us on a small table and there is no space for our food which were served on 3 big plates. With no initiative from the service staff, we had to rearrange the food ourselves and stack the plates. We had to walk to the counter to order our cake as staff were not attentive. Disappointing.More

Disgusting cold scrambled egg on horrible (fried) bread - it was awful! Other people’s food looked better but mine looked and tasted disgusting. No one was interested as to why I didn’t eat it or offered anything in replacement. Don’t bother - go to bills...in Bondi - it’s amazing!More
