Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Aria is our favourite restaurant in the world. Each dish here is perfectly crafted and presented in the most professional manner, to be enjoyed while overlooking our spectacular Sydney Harbour. Dining at Aria is not just about the food, it's about the complete dining experience;...a major part of which is the fantastic team that work seamlessly to ensure every detail of your visit is just perfect. Delicious food, beautifully plated. Service was friendly, but very poor. Repeated mistakes (sparkling water refilled with still 3 different times, “lost” cocktail order, etc).

The value offering falls far short of the minimum expectations one would expect from such a brand. Only the Somelier and the wine were up to par. Waygyu does not justify its price as much by the quality of the product which was questionable as...by the mastery of its cooking. What a shame, Australian waygyu has such flavor when its cooking is mastered. Terribly below standards for this price range and this type of restaurant.More

We went here and had the two course lunch for 120 ASD per head, which, given the quality of the food, was excellent value for money. We booked in advance from the UK so we were fortunate to get a table with a direct view...of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The whole experience was unforgettable. Wine was excellent, the service was excellent, and the food was excellent. Nothung more to say. Would definitely want to return and would recommendMore

This was supposed to be the best dining experience of our vacation. Instead, it has become an inside joke because it was some of the worst food we have ever had. It started with the amuse-bouche that we had to spit out. We did have...fun watching the expressions of others who had their amuse-bouche after us. I am not a foodie and I'm generally not picky about food. But even I could only eat one of the courses in our meal because the rest of the courses were some variation of eating a stick of butter with salt and spices mixed in. On a positive note, the service was really nice despite the fact that we didn't eat the food. They ended up charging us less, although it was still very expensive. I would obviously never, ever go back to this restaurant and I can't understand all the positive reviews. Maybe we were there on an off night. We did end up with a good memory in a way for the absolute worst food we have ever had in a restaurant.More

We celebrated my sister's birthday over a wonderful luncheon at Aria. The view looking over the Opera House adds a sense of drama and occasion. We enjoyed the 4-course option and every part of this was delicious. Some standouts were the cheese choux Amuse Bouche...as well as the duck along with the passionfruit dessert. The room was stylish whilst being comfortable. Service was professional, warm and helpful. Vicki the sommelier did an amazing job in selecting drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) that matched our menu selections. The quality of everything was outstanding without a hint of pretentiousness. I look forward to returning very much.More
