Went in for a drink with two friends in this very "London" type pub. The pub and its friendly staff were lovely, although the glass collectors a little over zealous, I presume in an attempt to highlight you need to buy another round. The downsides for me was the price (1 lager, whisky on the rocks and a packet of... More

The Waterloo Pub is quaint but the food for our dinner was lacking. Our group of 17 adults seemed to overwhelm the staff downstairs before heading up to the upper room dining area. The lamb was a little tough and not the best flavor. The upstairs staff did their best to serve our larger group. The pub was one of... More

It was a bit quiet as it was a Monday and midday. Great opportunity to chat with the batman and drink a beer. Bit out of the way but worth a look.

Fantastic pub, fantastic staff and fantastic food. This is our go to place for work and play. Better than the rest. Beautiful building, decor and a great pint of Guinness.

We ate here in a group dinner on our last night in Sydney. The ambiance is great with the vibe of the historic place the building is. I had fish and chips which were just ok. Service was excellent. Its is also in a quaint part of town.

Our city tour guide pointed out this historic, haunted pub and prompted our plan to return to explore. 1843 was the date this location came to life in Sydney. I had to try the Hero Burger--angus beef with onions, beets, tomato and more--with chips (fries). Very good bar food! The bartender gave us insights into the woman who was pushed... More

Me and my girl thought we would drop into the oldest pub in Sydney on our way home from the Glenmoore Hotel....a little night cap! But power tripping bouncer with shaved head and ego the size of his stupid head decided we have had enough to drink. Oh really, 5 drinks over 5 hours and a meal is too much??... More

One of the oldest pubs in Sydney situated in The Rocks. Sit at the bar and enjoy a beer or have a meal in the dining room, there is sometimes live music. Was once linked to the harbour via a tunnel where drunk sailors were smuggled onto competing ships. Rumoured to be haunted.

Great food, good beer selection, and great ambience. Apparently haunted too but we left before sunset :)
