Food was delicious, really tasty with good size portions and fresh vegetables. Service very good. Price right. There were many excellent choices apart from pizza which we didn't try but if the other dishes were anything to go by, pizzas would have been good. Highly recommend this restaurant and would return again and again, but very sadly the owner who... More

Found this place by accident, we were looking for an Italian restaurant but it was closed so walked down the street a bit further and found this one. It's downstairs in a basement. The food was good.

The restaurant is set in a cellar in small pedestrian street off Georges Street, near to Martin Place. So the location is perfect for business meetings. I visited the place on a cold winter day which was good opportunity to venture in some solid Italian food. The pasta dish which I received was huge and real good comfort food. So... More

I organised a farewell work lunch at La Bora based solely on Tripadvisor reviews and wasn't disappointed. The food was excellent. Very tasty and good hearty portions. We had 12 people and everyone was impressed. Vincenzo the owner was lovely providing great personalised service. He even threw in a free dessert and lemonchello shot for our staff member who was... I've been here several times over the past two years and loved every visit, not to mention the amazing food. This evening my friend and I went in and enjoyed our wines, starters, mains & dessert. The food is always good, no doubt. However at the end of the night I handed my card over and asked the owner of the... More

An Italian restaurant in the city could be considered as just another pasta joint but La Bora provides above average meals with attentive staff. Have only visited a few times but on every occasion food and service is of a high standard. Only positive comments come to mind.

Good go lunch in particular, there is a good selection of classic Italian food. I had the spaghetti marinara, which was excellent. I'm told the pizza are great too.
