Location great Atmosphere tremendous Food fantastic Service poor. Waitresses standing around talking and laughing with each other. Had to call for service once you got their attention, which wasn't easy to do. Music and singing OK but too loud. Could hardly hear ourselves talk. To bad to ruin a great High Tea. David

Located in the hear of the Intercontinental Hotel this is great place to have a coffee/drink/snack or a meal in lovely surroundings which look up to the orignal building. Service is good, Staff are friendly.

I had both coffees and lunches here. Very busy in the afternoon with locals coming in for their afternoon tea so lots of 'reserved' signs on the tables.

I had a beautiful high tea with amazing service from attentive staff. I had the High Tea Stand not the buffet and there was more than enough food with a nice balance of sweet and savoury. Beautifully presented and delicious to eat. Nothing was a problem for the staff. It is in the middle of a hotel but there wasn't... More

Great food great service! Excellent shell fish, lobster, seafood. The best steaks and I come from Texas. The wine selection was first class and reasonably priced.

We had a nice relaxing time catching up with friends for drinks. Its situated in the central atrium and is spacious and airy with club seating. You can get a quiet corner if you want. The service was attentive and friendly. Recommended

Came here for buffet high tea. Lots of sweets on offer. Savouries not memorable. If you're after a sugar hit, you must visit otherwise if you like your savouries probably best to avoid.

Best restaurant staff ever. Very prompt and helpful wait staff. Extremely accommodating to children. The cocktails could stand improvement, though, as they are 75% ice!

We love this bar that was positioned in the lobby of the hotel. We spent a lot of time there as it was a great spot to meet friends and family who came to visit us - the staff are incredible and I would go back to visit them even if I stayed at another hotel!- Wonderful!

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
