Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The sushi was delicious and very reasonably priced. Everything on the train was $4.40 except for some special plates but they were clearly indicated. It was just me in the restaurant for a bit. There are iPads that you can use to order things that aren't on the belt, how to use them wasn't explained but the instructions on the screen were easy to follow. Once you're done you press a button for the bill, they count your plates and you pay. I would go again!

Wow - we had to come back as we loved this place before. The owner was extremely polite and observed us as my partner can speak Japanese, of course they are Korean, but the food is still amazing. We were seated not far from the door, and these two teenagers came in, you could tell they wanted to try, but not sure of what - well the owner went out of his way and said please seat down and try a chicken dish - on the house. The teenagers were taken back, and so were we. Great hospitality skills, and yes we will definitely be back. Food is amazing, they will cook anything of a menu for you, and its only $3.50 per plate! Our bill was $49.00, so yes we had a few dishes.

Went here after my partner didn't like the Chinese Restaurant prices. Where can you go and ALL plates are $3.50? We had a bottle and just sat and ate like pigs - I was starving, it was raining, so nothing else to do. Have we eaten here - bloody oath, such a cheap place to sit and eat. The owner is ever so friendly, my partner can speak Jap and Korean. So I am very lucky. 20 plates later, we decide to leave and go back to our Hotel. Service is a sushi train, chefs will cook anything you want, or answer any questions. Restaurant is clean, close to China Town, Central Railway station, or light rail. Its opposite Paddy's market - so convent!

This is like the 'Cheers' of sushi trains. As people walked in they were given a welcome by the staff. They must have a lot of regulars. I can see why. The dishes were all $3.50 that we had - sashimi is more. It does away with keeping track of all those coloured plates. We were a party of 3 kids & 3 adults who at 2 pm needed sustenance quickly. The adults enjoyed all of the freshly made seafood (we watched him make it) & they made up more kid friendly choices when we asked. We came away fully satisfied & without paying a fortune. Win, win.

The food was really delicious and the wait staff were helpful and friendly. It was great to be able to watch the chef prepare the tuna and salmon while having our dinner. The price was very good too. Great value!

Good service but average food. Had to order plenty of other options as most on the sushi train were all seafood options. Good wasn’t quite the cold and didn’t cover all sushi options.

Went there for dinner with our daughters, sat at sushi train, there were not too many options for them, but with iPad ordering they were straight into ordering what they liked and it arrived quickly. Relatively expensive for what it was, but they offer a 5% cash discount.

I was welcomed nicely into the restaurant and watched to select the dishes i wanted- i noticed that most of the dishes were the same thing and it took a little bit to get the attention of waitstaff to order from the menu, what i ordered was cooked very well. The price was very good!

Glad this is a hidden gem - well for far. Every plate is $3.50. BYO so you can only guess - we sat there nearly all day gorging on all the beautiful Japanese dishes. I took 2 bottles of wine, and we sat from 12 noon til 3pm.. Yes ate everything, no corkage charge so far, but beautiful sushi train meals. Oh if you have to go to the toilet - they tell me its in the markets....but the food and service is wonderful - do try!

We decided to try Shushi Rio, it was steps away from our accommodations and they looked busy which is always a good sign. Seems like a popular spot for the locals and office workers in the area. Sushi menu was standard, it was good but nothing special. Location was super convenient.

A friend of mine has been only once to this restaurant and was to eager to return I could not let him down. It was a good thing too. Delicious is a word often used for good food. But truly, this is excellent. As well as the sushi train, there is an ordering system from the iPad in front of you. Food is freshly prepared and the choice is wide. A 5% discount for cash is an incentive as well. But they do take cards.

Been comings here for years. Could do with a spruce up , been watching the ceiling leaks penetrate the gyprock for many years and the dust build up on ceiling. Sushi train really had nothing to be inspired about. Ordered all from their tablet and loved it all. Make great hand rolls $3.50 Ordered a few dishes that really are standard and should have been on the train. Will be back.
