4th or 5th visit over the years of living in Sydney of eating at Waterfront. This time we had a voucher for a 2 course meal for 2 plus bottle of wine. We paid extra for a 3rd person as well. Great meal, with set starter (salad, small loaf of bread, and charcuterie board). Both had the John Dory fillets... More

Used a voucher for a 3 course meal with wine. Staff were friendly and very attentive. The first two courses were set and the main course was a choice of various meats or fish. We chose the fish which was John Dory and it was superbly cooked and presented. The quality and quantity of the food was above expectations and... More

Like most reviewers said, this is a great location. The food was good. We came with a group and everyone had a good meal of Barramundi, salmon, or chicken breast. My caesar salad had too much dressing. The price was comparable to the surrounding area. It was cold and we were told that they don't use the heaters after Nov.1st.... More

I prioritized view over food and chose Waterfront so I could dine overlooking the Opera House. Despite all the markings of a tourist trap the service was prompt and the food was quite good. I had the roast chicken breast with wild mushrooms on a bed of polenta and it was excellent. I had a glass of prosecco which was... More

Decided to grab dinner here after my first choice was booked solid again. I had a reservation and arrived a few minutes early and was seated right away. I was not aware but the restaurant next door Wolfe Grill is the same or so I was told by the hostess. It was about 40 Degrees C out with little wind... More

We eat at the Waterfront every time we visit Sydney from the UK. We have the seafood platter each time, and have seen it diminish in size (from a tower to a single platter) and contents over the years, whilst increasing in price. Our meal for the platter for two, one bottle of wine and two other drinks was over... More

The fish overcooked, chairs and tables dirty and damaged, the menu card broken, the waiter unfriendly. On the terrace you are only watching the next big cruise liner, it should be re-named Cruiseship View.

Went for dinner in group of 6, absolutely amazing place!! Good choice of drinks & food with great views.. All of us were satisfied with the quality of food & dessert. Booking in advance is highly recommended as it gets very busy. After dinner, we went for a walk near harbour terminal, circular quay ferry terminal, train station & taxi... More

Went here for a romantic dinner with my husband, we bought a voucher from online discount website, the best part that I love about this place was we had an outstanding customer service provided by Reillie, she was the best waitress that I ever met in Sydney.Good food with a bottle of wine, but one negative feedback my steak was... Arriving in Sydney Harbour our cruise ship Pacific Jewel docked at the wharf at Circular Quay. We met with friends for a long lunch overlooking the harbour activity and virtually under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We stayed well past the stated lunch period enjoying a stunning menu and a choice of red wines. It was an easy walk from the... More

Waterfront's authentic menus are inspired by the classics with seafood being our specialty. Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
