Typical meaning dark wood interior, very crowded and noisy. Come early for a table for dinner (upstairs is quieter). Daily specials. Good food and friendly service.

We were staying at the Grace Hotel so we decided to have dinner here. My husband had the beef stew which he enjoyed but my "club" sandwich was a bunch of ingredients thrown between two pieces of bread and grilled. (Maybe this is the way it is done in Australia so I might be the cause of a misunderstanding.) When... More

Great dinner with lots of choices and good service. There was a mistake in our order and they were very apologetic and offered a free meal for the inconvenience.

I was in a group of 4 exploring Sydney for a couple of days and we went in here about 8pm for a pick me up as we'd been up since 5am and we're flagging a bit. You know what it's like, exploring the city is tiring, a lot of walking and the sun wears you out. We ordered 1... More

PJ's is a great place for a meal at lunch or dinner, it has a good family pub atmosphere and plenty of dining space for large groups upstairs. I have used it for work/team lunches, leaving drinks and just as a great place to meet friends. They pay the big sporting events not just local but European and the US... More

This restaurant was probably one of the highlights of the trip with the children wanting me to find a similar restaurant back near home. The meals were sensational, the staff extremely friendly and the atmosphere really enjoyable.

We ate here twice while visiting Sydney and enjoyed both meals. The traditional Irish pub setting is lovely, with great wood work and an upper dining area with balcony. Food is plentiful and delicious. Service was great, very friendly. Prices were reasonable. We enjoyed the Caesar salad with came with a huge topping of chicken (ordered as an add-on), Irish... More

We had a wonderful family time having an evening meal there. Main meal was great and we all enjoyed our dessert picks. Cheaper than Darling harbour, where you get stung with weekend penalty rates.

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
