Missed enjoying a meal at Mohr Fish on our visit to Sydney as we were unaware they have moved to 116 Devonshire St
I have just had lunch here for the first time in a while. This time it is in their new location, just down Devonshire St from the old one. This place is much nicer. Larger & more comfortable. I only had fish & chips but...it was every bit as good as I remember. The menu looks much the same as before but there are a few lunch specials. I will be back.More
The Mohr fish and chips takeaway is a gem, and moving to new premises in early 2022 nearby where we will make it a must. At the moment it is rather unprepossessing, but that hides marvellous menu. What other fish and chips shop has scallops...on the shell with herb butter sauce or lightly fried soft shelled crab with a papaya salad, or monk fish with an avocado salsa. All for much the same price as any other fish and chip shop. We are certainly looking forward to the move so there are more than 10 places on high chairs for diners.More
There is one lady that totally ruins this experience! Stephanie the owner is lovely but as the owner she is removed from the restaurant which is a shame as she is great. However with a child she leaves the front office to an incompetent staff...member. Whoever worked the floor on the 15th December is a kitchen regular and does not deserve to be mingling with clients. Rude not smiling and terribly inflexible I will not return until she is replaced away from the public eye. Dreadful experience and I’ve been to Mohr fish for years. Please displace this lady. She ruined our night and I bought a new person for the first time who was aghast by her unwelcomeness. Avoid Mohr fish until Stephanie fixes up her staff.More
Dashed in to grab a spot of take away lunch Ordered the $9.90 beer battered fish and chips Was delicious!! 2 pieces of fish and loads of crunchy chips Was surprised to find a container or tartar sauce included, normally you have to pay extra...for that Of course came with a slice of lemon Staff very friendly Highly recommend this placeMore
Mohr is a hidden gem for seafood in Sydney. The restaurant is very close to Central station and the hub of Crown Street with a menu that is modest but exquisite. The seafood is very fresh and cooked to perfection with generous portions. You can...take away or dine in. The dining space is small and casual - there are only about 4 tables and a bar to eat at. However, dining in is very pleasant and the service is lovely. We had a perfect night at Mohr. Many thanks to the staffMore
Came here for dinner with my friends. The food here is great. Ordered salmon for myself and it’s perfectly done. The fried squid is very nice as well. Limit tables, i believe most people order takeaway here. Very friendly service as well.
Ate lunch here recently with three friends and we all very much enjoyed it. The service was good, the food fresh and tasty - I had the fish pie and thought it was excellent - and the prices very reasonable. It's not a place you...go for the decor though, and that's fine by me, it is what it is and the simple style no doubt keeps the prices down. It is very small, so if you want to ensure you get a table on the weekend at peak times you do have to book. We will be back for sure.More
Don't walk Past! Almost doesn't look like a restaurant but do go in Was our last night in Oz and had a really good meal Fish was fresh and superbly cooked. Only just done which is as it should be and piping hot Loved the...Asian influence in some dishes Looked like they do a good fish and chips trade too Even the bread was excellent Definitely worth a visit but only a few tablesMore
Restaurant needs renovating. Food needs to be improved so as to reflect the flavour of fish and not leave you guessing as to what you’re eating. Unfortunately has lost it’s shine to previous visits over the years and sadly won’t be returning. Has potential to...improve with advent of new light rail passing doorstep. Definitely overpriced for what you get.More
