The restaurant is quite dark inside! The staff is extremely rude and unfriendly. I went there with 3 friends and they shut the lights down on us. They made a mistake on the bill (not sure if it was intentional or not). I know a...More

The atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit dark, missing some light and a breeze (a ceiling fan would work wonders). That aside, we got a table straight away and while there were a other diners, the service was brilliant. We said we had an...More

A pleasant wee place in the city. Basic french cuisine and a limited wine list. I had the tornedo (beef) and the merlot. Well cooked and very yummy. I haven't dined out in the city for a few years but I thought it was a...More

We thoroughly enjoyed La Guillotine. Our host, Joseph, was extremely accommodating, attentive and engaging. The food was wonderful - classic French fare with escargot, garlic prawns, perfectly cooked steaks and lamb cutlets to die for. Loved the ratatouille accompaniment. Lovely French champagne at reasonable prices....More

The menu is packed full of French classics. I only wanted a light snack so had the escargots (you can order 6 or 12). They were delicious and well presented. Service was friendly and prompt.

My friend and I were visiting from the USA and found this resturant near our hotel. The owner/manager was so friendly we felt like old friends by the end of the evening. We liked it so much we came back for a second visit.

I have been here many times in the past and it was previously a lovely warm restaurant with great food. Now it has little atmosphere and smells strongly of aftershave and bleach. The waiter (owner) was sullen and rude. I think this maybe why the...More

Been passed this place soooooo many times but never ventured. Anyway, situation reality - need food, need wine and if it's French style so be it. The tournedos rossini was excellent. The steak cooked medium rather than medium rare, but that's why I order it...More

We recently had dinner here and really enjoyed the food and the service, but the size of the meals were disappointing. Two of us had the special of slow cooked beef cheeks with mashed potato, which was beautifully cooked in a rich red wine gravy,...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
