It was lovely to celebrate my birthday with a lovely seafood platter for two with a nice bottle of wine to supplement the meal. The food and the service were excellent thank you for making the occasion special.
Perhaps one of the best seafood venues I have been to worldwide. I will come back in my next trip to Australia.

Hi Jacqueline, Thank you so much for your kind review. However, from the look of your images you must have us confused with Flying Fish and Chips. As the food in your images doesn't match our menu. But thank you for your time to review...More
We had not booked for dinner, however we were able to be accommodated by the friendly front of house manager on a busy Thursday night. We were seated at a window table with beautiful evening views of Barangaroo. The service was outstanding and our waitress,...Anna, was attentive and helpful. The food was excellent with a delicious fusion of flavours. The wine list is extensive with a good range of wine available by the glass.More

My first, and likely last, visit to Flying Fish. Generally there was too much salt and oil in the dishes. Prawn toast was soaked in oil and overcooked. Coffee orders were forgotten and service was slow. For similar menu prices Crown is a far better...experience.More
Dear Joanna, We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. As disappointing it is to hear, Flying Fish did not meet your expectations, we can only improve on your feedback. I will forward your feedback to our Leaders. Please do not hesitate...More
High end casino restaurants can be hit and miss. Whilst on holidays passing through Sydney, we visited as family of four with our 2 young kids, and we had a pleasurable meal. We shared the seafood platter and enjoyed pretty much all that was offered...in both the cold and hot courses, the price is what it is but satisfies two hungry persons and didn't walk away feeling ripped off. In the cold course, fresh oysters and dressings, sashimi and the spanner crab salad were great with respect paid to the seafood but delicate scallop was a little overpowered by the dollop of cultured cream it sat on. The hot offerings of grilled king prawn, seared piece of barra and a large bay bugs each (slipper lobster) were also very tasty and perfectly just cooked through, although the shellfish butter with the bugs was a little on the salty side to my taste. A bit cheeky to label the bugs as bay lobsters in the menu though! Included sides were a bowl of good chips and a fresh green salad, also rare kudos for not over dressing the salad! Kids also had the steak and chips and pasta with sugo off the kids menu, the kids steak wasn't just an afterthought and cooked med-rare.as requested. The pasta serving was a tad too n the small side. Overall, a pleasant and delicious evening enjoyed by us!More

Went out to dinner to celebrate with my partner, and ordered the seafood platter. Came with so much food, all delicious and we were very full by end. The service was phenomenal, Polly was even lovely enough to organise a little cake to celebrate without...us knowing. Such a lovely touch that made our night! Absolutely will come back again in the future.More

We chose the flying fish restaurant for our birthday celebration and it was our first experience with this restaurant. The portion of our meals was quite satisfactory for us. We were very pleased with the visual presentation and service time. For dessert, we wanted to...try peach crumble with macedemia and ice cream, but for dessert lovers, I would like to say that the portion of this dessert service was quite a lot. If you prefer this dessert, I recommend you to order it by sharing. Lastly, we would like to thank “Ana”, who took care of us in the service, for helping us with her professional service. We would like to see “Ana” there again when we come again.More

I was skeptical about what to expect especially with the pricey menu. However I was happily wrong and we had an excellent dinner. The entrees were indeed the highlight. From mussels, to crab, then octopus and lobster ravioli, each had unique compositions and bursting with...flavour. Just excellent! The main fish courses were good: well cooked though smallish portions. Overall a very good dining experience. Consider loading up on entrees (instead of mains) and share the courses to experience the range.More

I went to Flying fish a couple of years ago and we had the Seafood Platter. I have a picture of this on my phone. The seafood platter came in one serving and had salad and the famous Flying Fish chips included. So we went...back. You now have to pay extra for the salad You now have to pay extra for the chips. And the chips!!! Why do they serve McDonalds style fries in a fine dining establishment. The thin fries were cold before I had finished my meal. If I want these fries and can go to McDonalds and get them much cheaper. ALso last time I went I ordered a change of item for dietry reasons. This time I asked for the same change. This time I was charged for the change. Last time I was not charged. The seafood is still excellent, but, sorry, Flying Fish, your standards are indeed slipping.More
