I was asked to write this review on behalf of a good friend whose nephew from China came first time to visit his family in Sydney and he thought he would impress him by taking him to the Blue Angel Restaurant. He ordered Goose Liver Pate. Whilst eating the nephew bite on a small piece of stone and chipped his... More

We took 3 relatives who were visiting Sydney to try out their renowned seafood, we got greeted by an older Italian head waiter, who had strong smell of alcohol in his breath, he was impatient with our orders & was screaming at these Chinese waiters right in front of all the diners. The food was very ordinary, we only like... More

My wife and I went there to celebrate our anniversary in April. We choose the $188 per person set, with lobster and wagyu beef. The fresh lobster is 1.2kg, half lobster prepared raw with oysters and sushi mi and we love the wagyu beef. But the lobster soup is tasteless and the garlic bread with no garlic taste. We were... Employees very closed and not smiling. It was a really bad experience in this restaurant. The prices are not representatives for the service. Not recommended !!!!

Love their lobster and caviar! But my kids wanted rice.. They charged us $10/bowl. It was a very small amount, between my two kids one is 2 and one is 4 years old ate 3 bowls, they charged us $30! Which is ridiculous!

Very good food, a perfect place to impress friends and enjoy a nice evening. The food is a combination of both Asian and Italian

We had eaten at the Blue Angel in 2011, but it was a special event. This time we were on our own, so got to order off of the menu. We ended up ordering Chateau Briand. It came to the table cooked perfectly. The food was delicious, just too much meat.

This cosy Italian restaurant is a hidden gem in Darlinghurst. When I entered this underground restaurant, it reminds me of the restaurant I was dining in Florence, Italy. It was a great experience as the ambience of restaurant is welcoming, the owner and waiters were very attentive and the quality of the food was so good. We ordered the signature... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
