Capriciossa. I've probably had a dozen of these pizza at Boccone over the last year and every one has been near perfect. We've tried a few others and been similarly happy. The wine list is brief but well chosen and reasonable. No pizza we've had...in Sydney has come close to this quality. We've met the owner, who often presides, and she manages what is often a quite mad crush as well as can be done. Not once have we been disappointed or received slack service. And we aren't co-owners, though we might like to be silent partners!More

We’d heard so many good things about this place, so our first experience here was quite surprising. We go in and order a $28 pizza for takeout. (Not cheap, but they smell and look amazing.) The place is packed (another good sign) so I say...to the person taking the money that my GF and I will wait outside. The person looks me straight in the eye and says, “Sure, we’ll come and call you when it’s ready.” So we go outside and take a seat, on some chairs about 5m away, directly facing the staff. (It’s a brightly-lit laneway, and I’m wearing a distinctive hat.) 20 minutes go by, and because they’ve said they’ll “come and call us”, I say I’m sure it’s not ready yet. But my GF goes inside to check anyway. She’s met with disbelief. “Oh there you are!” and handed a cold pizza, then told they didn’t know where we were. Not once did they “come out and call us” like they said they would. (Remember, we were facing them the whole time.) Nobody was carrying our pizza box out and looking for us — like they said the would. They just set it down and let it go cold. So my GF expresses disappointment at the cold pizza, and she’s told “no it’s still fine.” (It wasn’t. It was ice cold.) And here’s the kicker. No “sorry”. Not once. No sorry for not “coming out to call us”. No sorry, we can make you another. No offer to even warm it up a little in the oven.Just an attitude of well-tough-luck. Well there’s a first and a last time for everything. And that includes bad service. Back to Vico and Mad Pizza we go.More

This used to be our go-to pizza place when we lived opposite from 2016-2020, as the pizza was alway amazing. Unfortunately, the restaurant seems to have changed ownership/chef and when we went back recently the food was well below what we were used to and...we won’t be rushing back. The pizzas looked good, but the dough/toppings weren’t as tasty and the desserts (panda cotta/tiramisu) left a lot to be desired. It’s a shame.More

OMG. we have discovered the best pizza place in Kings Cross. Homemade pasta and pizza. Even the garlic focaccia was brilliant. Amazing service. Roll me home honey

I cannot recommend this place enough, for traditional Italian pizza. The staff are friendly, it's a nice outdoor venue and the prices are reasonable. I am a regular.

This is my favorite pizzeria in Sydney. It's a cozy place with good quality and lot of pizza options. As a dessert try the tiramisu and pannacotta. Good and fast service.

What a great spot to sit and people watch whilst enjoying a very different style of pizza - do try the antipasto, put it together yourself pizza - delicious. Enjoyed our time here sitting outside and just chatting and watching the world go by. Good...value for money.More

Really disappointed of the service. We arrived at 9am and they told us the kitchen was still open. The waitress put pressure on us to take the order she had to come back 5 times I think. When we were done we were chatting with...my friend and all the restaurant looking at us as they were waiting to close. TO AVOIDMore

This is some of the best pizza I have ever eaten, the dough was incredible. Their pizza oven is impressive and our order came in about 10-15 minutes - italian sausage was really good, and the rocket/proscuitto was the best we've had. The dough though,...so few places do the bases like this - and its the only way to eat pizza. So tasty! The restaurant had a QR code for registration when we got a table, and provided sanitizer with the menus as soon as we sat down. Other diners did come while we were there, but all kept one table apart. Its a really nice spot down the lane. The service was fantastic, both wait staff very friendly and professional. We tried the Ichnusa beer which one of them recommended, and I was pleasantly surprised - hadn't heard of it before but its on my list now! They do takeaway also, I cant wait to go back.More

Great to see Boccone re-open again after lock-down. The pizza is as good as ever, service is welcoming and friendly and there's the usual happening buzz in the air. I felt I was in good hands with strict social distancing measures in place: customers well-spaced...apart, hand sanitiser on all tables, waiters regularly sanitising hands, names and phone numbers taken when seated.More

The pizza base was a bit thin in the middle and did not hold the sauce/topping very well when eating, too floppy. Antipasto platter was nice. Service ok, just. However absolutely no social distancing in place, no registering of names, no hand sanitizer inside nor...outside. I think this is unfair towards those businesses who do the right thing. Will not go back until I see them change this whatever attitude. No problem as plenty of other places around that care about safety and health and not just the dollar and serve great food.More
