Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Top marks; generous, well-cooked food (my poached eggs were just so), quality bacon, home-made flavoursome hash browns… no wonder this place usually has a queue of patient, devoted Sydneysiders out on the pavement. Plentiful staff in their themed black Four Ate Five T-shirts. Fresh oj...squeezed to order.More

Lovely atmosphere, great fresh food, super friendly service. The only challenge is finding parking. We would definitely return !

Walked over for breakfast today, I was a little worried we might not be able to get a table based on some reviews but it was no problem at all. All of the food was knocked out the ballpark. I couldn't falt a thing, even...the bae roll my friend got which sounded a lil boring to me was actually pretty awesome. My shakshuka was brilliant the flatbread with it perfect. So good, we are going back again tomorrow.More

Found this gorgeous cafe when visiting with a friend, friendly service and the coffee was amazing. Has a great local vibe, on street dining and pet friendly.

This little place for breakfast was really good. I had the halloumi roll with egg, with great coffee, and the chai has a really spicy punch

It was mid afternoon on a summers day & I happened by this appealingly-setup operation in trendy inner Sydney > Surry Hills ! I chose outside for Covid reasons & the convenient table service delivered a very good double espresso I must say ! I...noticed others devouring tasty-looking food with gusto,,so I think these folk DO know what they're doing ! Give it a try ..I enjoyed myself!More

We came here for the first time 2 weeks ago and went back again today because it was so good. Haven't had to wait long either time and both times we went were on a Saturday. The menu has a great variety and what we've...tried so far is delicious. We highly recommend the Kale pesto rice bowl (I added a poached egg and smoked salmon) and the Green shakshuka with lamb - delicious. Both very filling, fresh and good value for money.More

Fortunate to be able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the second attempt on a Wednesday morning, after an aborted reconnaissance on the previous jam-packed Sunday. Characterful interior plus a handful of pavement tables. My shakshuka came in a traditional iron pan with pitta bread...on the side. Eggs were done well, just the right amount of spice, but a bit heavy on the red peppers. My wife's natural muesli came with plenty of fresh fruit and the coffee was good. Lots of dining choices along Crown Street, but easy to see why this place is one of the most popular.More

First time eating here and the food was excellent. I was seated straight away, but very busy! The food is a bit pricey, but well worth it. They make many fresh and healthy juices as well. Definitely a must to visit! We will be back!

Arrived just before 12 and got a table straight away. Shortly afterwards was full - seemed to be the busiest cafe on that part of the Crown Street strip by far. Very efficient service. Staff friendly and very welcoming of what seemed to be regulars....Good coffee but my brother found his mango smoothie strange - too many extras! Salmon bagel very tasty - salmon room temperature and a generous serve. Blintzes something different good way to round off the meal.More

Sunday mid morning, looking for brunch. Found a parking spot opposite this sparsely populated cafe. What a surprise. Staff were very attentive and friendly, orders taken and supplied in a timely and leisurely manner, food was incrediblly fresh and tasty. We must have lucked on...a lull in business, as soon after seating and ordering, the entry queue numbered 15-20. Great food, great coffee and reasonably priced. Will revisitMore

We were exited about the Middle Eastern dishes in particular so set off on a Sunday morning to celebrate. Very happy with all our dishes - lamb kawarma with hummus, toasted chickpea & homemade pita; French toast filled with chocolate & banana, topped with mascarpone...& rhubarb, dulce de leche, nut crumble & maple; lamb baked eggs with eggplant & pita; shakshuka - all so good as were chai latte (you get this in a little pot which is almost equivalent to 2 cups, winner!) & coffee. Pleasant service, decor could be more interesting. Definitely a recommendation! Fresh food with reasonable helping. Enjoyed the variety of dishes & beverages.More
