Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was one of the best Chinese dinners ever had, high quality food from the starter to the end, soup, shrimps, scallops and their fresh fish, All perfect, well cooked and delicious. Very attentive service. Relatively high prices but absolutely justified for what you get.

Whenever I'm in Sydney I ensure to make a booking here. They have amazing food both entree, main and dessert. I have never had a dish that I haven't loved. For those less adept they do also have cutlery rather than chopsticks.

We made a reservation since it was a Saturday night--two adults, two youth--and were warmly greeted both by servers and a manager. He pulled up a chair to explain the menu, find out what we liked to eat, and took our order (including complimentary soup...dumplings). He came over several times to make conversation, check in about the food, and the entire staff was polite and attentive. Delicious food, memorable service, and sorry we don't have this restaurant at home!More

We arrived without a booking and not sure we would be able to get a table, but the staff welcomed us warmly and found us a table amidst their very busy restaurant. It was our second visit after an amazing previous experience we were keen...to check out more delicious dishes. We were not disappointed. The manager and staff were super friendly and attentive. We ordered short soup (which had the most amazing broth) and combination chow mein which had a delicious smoky flavour to the crispy noodles. We will be back and bringing friends and family with us to share this fantastic experienceMore

Supposedly proud of delivering "great, reliable Chinese food" for decades, I thought on my first visit it would be best to order a few basic dishes to see if indeed they do what they clam to do > ah...if only it were true! One TA...reviewer had so raved about the Chef's Sang Choy Bow--I started with that: out came a heavily-trimmed iceberg cup..SO old all the edges were turning brown! & lurking in the centre was a mingy dollop of the famous mince; I so nearly sent it back>but the taste was 'fair' . . . so I refrained. My Short Soup was in a tiny bowl--but jammed into the bowl were SIX tender & dekiciously sweet wontons..super! & I thought "ah we're going to be OK!" If Only. The Char Kway Teow was such a pale & uninteresting medly of tasteless veggies & nothing meat I DID send that dish straight back!..it hadn't the slightest hint of that ultimate smokey flavour rendolent of Malaysian street food-- & Simon Chan the Ower/Manager wants you to believe he's sending out good food with" regional influence". My foot I was still a little hungry despite the 2 duds, so to test the kitchen further I ordered the simplest, most homely Cantonese dish possible >> Chicken & vegetables! It was not in any way distinctive--just OK. I called for the bill + a toothpick>> & then discovered I'd been charged $3 for the requested fresh Chilli in Soy + a wacking $4 90 for a (small) bowl of plain steamed rice! This little dinner for one turned out to total nearly $60. So except for the nice soup, it was neither worth the price asked..nor worth eating at that price! Oh & I never got the toothpick!!! > > but I did get have delivered a plastic-wrapped fortune cookie. Its still on the table.... You can do better basic Chinese food elsewhere.More
