Met friends after work on a Friday - it was the start of Vivid, so was exceptionally busy. However, the sharing plates are generous and delicious.

Local and maybe had high hopes. Renovation is great, however after 2nd visit just not sure if we would go again unless some improvements. Staff friendly but not very well trained (we had to ask table to be cleared) and a number of wrong meals...delivered . Not all drinks in the menu and had to wait 20 mins for cocktails. Love this venue and the staff are fantastic, particularly Arthur and James. I have only been there twice and they already remember my name. The kid's menu is better than the genera menu. It is trying to be a high class restaurant, but it's not...working. The bar food is really boring; where are the interesting nibbly bits if you are just going for a drink? The a la carte menu shows the chef is on the right track but not with the bar menu. By all means be a high class restaurant, but don't have people sitting on the verandah and expect them to pay the prices you are charging in the restaurant. There are two distinct areas, outside and inside. Arthur is fantastic and looks after everybody. This will be my go to place for a drink and a nibble. Just get your act together and realise there are two distinct and different areas.More

We had our Christmas party at Verandah Bar last Friday and I cannot rave enough about the place. The food and service were great. The staff were absolutely lovely. Saskia, the events organizer was so efficient, professional and made organising this event effortless. I highly...recommend the venue for any occasion. Great ambience and a very cool restaurant/bar. Attended for a surprise Birthday party and from the moment we entered everything was perfect. Friendly helpful staff supplying great service. Great food and drink making a highly enjoyable night. I came there from watching my team get a hiding at the SCG and wasn't...in the best of moods but the good vibe here changed all that and a happy night was had by all my family, Highly recommend this venue for all your functions.More

The Verandah offers very good food and friendly efficient service. If you want, staff will ensure you are not trapped and can get back to work. If you want to linger, they will also accommodate. Ideal for a business lunch, or to catch up with...a friend.More

What a nice place! good location, good food and great place. We had lunch yesterday and we had a lovely time. I should mention that the manager (the only male) was very pushy, pushing us to order wine and appetizers (always with a great smile)....He was keeping on coming back to us asking the same questions. Same problem when we did not want any dessert. The overall experience was good but I think this has to be said to all potential customers.More

Wow, $13.50 for a pint. That’s beyond fancy places on the water. The food is strangely reasonably priced though and staff are good.

We chose verandah for a special lunch with family and friends - large group booking and we couldn't have been happier - fantastic food, great bar / cocktail area, exceptional service and the atmosphere is divine!!! Seriously stylish venue and interiors are stunning.

Taken here for Lunch by Friends on my Visit to Sydney arrived about Midday plenty of tables available but did fill up very quickly. You have to order you food and drink at the bar and then your given a Number and a buzzer and...then you go to the Kitchen end of the bar and collect your food. Portions were very good and food was too staff friendly and in the middle of Sydney down town this place does get very busy and has tables inside and outMore

Quite nice bar with good semi-open area (the verandah). Comfortable seating and good reasonably priced food. The pitchers of cocktails were nice

Great service for our event, drinks priced reasonably... finger food average and not robust enough for a function. Good vibes!
