Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

About the 30th time we have eaten here and always on point. Clean good service and tasty yum cha. When in the CBD don’t head to China town try this gem. Fresh dumplings they steam the broccoli in the dining area so you can see how fresh it is. Nice setting and efficient trolley ladies.

This lovely Chinese restaurant does some yummy food and just lately has been rather empty but is usually packed with customers every time we go. They are attentive to customers and quick to bring out dishes, often the table overflows with the delicious food they cook. The tea is nice but they don’t wait for the usual signal of the lid ajar to top it up so if you like it strong or you are not looking for more Chinese tea be aware of this. Would most likely suggest you try the duck pancakes or the rainbow beef pancakes both of which are fantastic starters.

This was an amazing experience. The Yum Cha experience is altered slightly due to COVID-19 but still results in a delicious dim sum. Whilst you now order via the menu rather than mobile trolleys, the food is exceptionally delicious. Experienced in a beautiful environment. Highly recommend, the new opening hours also allowed us to reserve a table for earlier on Sunday morning, giving us more time to venture around Sydney on our final day.

We had the ideal experience of a Saturday midday yum cha. The variety was perfect and really good quality. There was no waiting for trollies to come round and there was always someone additional to get us drinks etc. The cheap parking was a fantastic perk and we’ll definitely be back to do it all again soon. Recommended dishes are pork belly and salt and pepper calamari.

The yum cha dishes had great variety but very big so we filled up on a few dishes and were too full to try others. The food was excellent but a bit disappointed with the sticky rice. I loved the eggplant stuffed with prawn.

When we arrived we were received number 53 with the current number being 29 (35 minute wait). Well it was worth the wait. We made our way in to a hive of activity - trollies of piping hot, delicious dim sim/spring rolls/prawn toast/bbq pork/steam pork buns/noodles/calamari were all consumed with delight. Was it down with Chinese tea and made for a great meal. Closed out with egg tarts/mango salad and little piggies says we will be back.

The yum cha at this Sydney CBD restaurant is excellent and really good quality. In particular we thought that the cheong fun were outstanding with super fine smooth rice skins. The trolley wait staff were very attentive and seemed to be really focussed on selling! This is high end yum cha and a bit on the expensive side - probably because of the central CBD location.

Big business dinner filled the restaurant to the brim. Service was surprisingly quick considering the number of guests. The meals may have been chosen to speed up the delivery as there was so many. I thought meals were average. Would like to go back and see what it would be like on a normal night.

While visiting Sydney, a friend took us to the Palace for lunch. It is located upstairs in a mall (in Piccadilly Tower) on Castlereagh St. Unless you are a local or read about the restaurant on line or a book, you'd never know it existed. The restaurant was full at lunch with a mix of Chinese and Caucasian guests. As is usual in a dim sum restaurant, the staff comes around with a variety of choices. Without describing one or the other, I can honestly say this was some of the best dim sum my wife and I have had in a long time. It rivals any of the places we have visited in San Francisco or elsewhere in the U.S.

Quality of food is great, but variety is lacking. The same small variety of food is offered continuously - disappointed. Where is the sticky rice, black bean pork ribs, glutinous pork balls???

This was a yum cha experience. The food was loverly, but we were seated near the ramp to the outside area. The issue was that the servers bypassed this corner, having a set route. This meant that we were left out of the loop. Even asking staff for attention did not help. My advice. Do not take tables near the ramp. Ask to sit elsewhere.

Don’t bother going if you’re by yourself. You’ll be largely ignored. Managed to get one yum Cha dish in 30 minutes! The women with the trolleys focused on the large tables. I certainly won’t be going back.

Really tasty authentic yum cha. You honestly can't go wrong here. It is on par with the best dim sum and I include Hong Kong and mainland China when I make this statement.

Not many towns have a chinese and not as good as this. Good menu and friendly service. We did not wait for long until our food arrived and good size serves. The decor is modern chinese and relaxed atmosphere.

Excellent location, great place for brunch/lunch before our show at Theatre Royal. We were most impressed with the very fresh yum cha food. We enjoyed every rush ordered.

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
