Lovely little Italian, with reasonably priced, freshly cooked and tasty food. The daily pasta specials and tiramisu were especially good, we liked the house red and we really appreciated the home made limoncello at the end of the meal. The staff and owner were very welcoming and attentive, we went back more that once for dinner during our stay in Sydney and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Having visited Singapore, Bali, Darwin, Cairns and now Sydney in the last 5 weeks we really felt like some good old home cooked pasta, and guess what - Caffe Amici solved our craving!
Family run small cosy place. What you see is what you get.
Great pasta, Tiramisu to die for.
Enjoy.

Small hole in the wall seats no more than 20 but boy was it good the owners were delightful and so friendly home made pasta and great Sauces. Pizzas looked great but didn’t have one. Fresh salad and yummy tiramisu I love to find places like this do not pass it up

The food in the cafe is fantastic, visited with my mother and sister while we were in Sydney and shared pasta and pizza. All food was delicious, dessert was beautiful. The hosts and chef were all wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome and really topped off a great dinner. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again when in Sydney next.

This is an absolute gem of an authentic Italian restaurant in the centre of Sydney, with some of the most welcoming, warm and friendly staff I've met. Stephen and Tanya were wonderful, funny and very accommodating.
The caffe has a relaxed, genuine feel to it, with a good variety of options on the menu and daily specials. They also had a good selection of wines on offer as well.
The food was fresh and delicious, and we already can't wait to go back!
For anyone in Sydney, check it out, you won't regret, I honestly cannot recommend it enough.
Would go as far as saying that it is the best Italian food I've had in Australia.

Found this place on trip advisor and it didn’t disappoint. We had three different mains which were all fantastic, great flavours and took us straight back to Italy through chicken dishes with wonderful sauces and a fantastic prawn linguine. The portions are not only beautiful but are plentiful and we all left very full. Lovely owners that went to great effort to make us comfortable and welcomed. This will become a favourite for me when in Sydney.

An amazing way to finish our last night in Sydney. The food was fresh, full of great flavours and amazing value. They had something for everyone. The service was impeccable, this family owned business truly cares about their patrons. We were given a complimentary house made limoncello shot to finish our evening. If we are ever in Sydney again this is where we will be going!

We have come here several times over the years.
They do cook Italian homestyle food very well.
The space itself (for my taste) could be significantly improved by more mellow lighting. The lighting is quite bright, and stark.
But otherwise…. Especially if you are travelling, and want to feel safe and loved, this place is great. The food was very nicely cooked… I had the lamb backstrap, and it was excellent. My daughter, a coeliac, had a great pasta.
It is reliable, very good, but simple food. Nothing tricked up at all… just cooked like my best friend (an Italian-Australian excellent cook) prepared it for me.
If they could sort more mellow lighting, the place would be a perfect bolthole to escape from a big city.
You feel like you are in an Italian relative’s back room.
So don’t expect a sophisticated, glamorous, expensive fit out. Just expect food, and service that makes you feel welcomed and nurtured.
And the house made Limoncello is FABULOUS.
Just a lovely night. Thank you to the lovely young waiter Josh, and to the wonderful chef.

The food is great and the service is friendly and warm. It is like eating in Italy. The pesto was fresh made and really tasty. The tuna pasta had a really nice tomato sauce with a touch of chilli. Great place for lunch, I would strongly recommend it to anyone who wants a home cooked Italian meal.

Chose this quaint little Italian restaurant based on previous reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In a group of 4 I must say the salmon and zucchini risotto was creamy and the seasoning perfectly balanced with plenty of salmon. The other 3 diners found their chicken salad, linguine bolognaise and scallopini were truly delicious. Authentic Italian food served by charming staff.

When visiting a new city, I always make an effort to find a restaurant that has pasta with basil pesto. My meals here were excellent! Everything was made fresh and the chef and wait staff were extremely attentive and friendly.

What a great little find in the CBD! The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food was delicious and the ambience just perfect. The Bruschetta we shared as a starter was one of the best I’ve had and we both enjoyed our pasta specials for mains (gnocchi and linguine) We were there for dinner, but I believe they’re open for lunch too.
Thank you so much for your hospitality

Had lunch here last Friday and we had terrific service and lovely pasta.
Nice sized portions, made by a chef who obviously takes pride in his dishes. Will go here again whenever we are back in Sydney.

Chose this place solely based on the rating, currently in the top ten in Sydney. Arrived for dinner and they were not busy, just me and another table. Ordered a glass of wine and they were out of my first two choices. Ordered a pasta dish which arrived soon enough but I found to be bland. Service was spotty, with the waiter more interested in chatting with the chef than in taking care of his customers. The food, service, and coffee shop ambiance was not at a level I expected for such a highly rated establishment.

Went to this little gem tonight with husband and 5 year old daughter. Hospitality and customer service spot ! :-) food delicious, felt like we were in the comfort of our home , even though stuck in the city. Gentleman and lady were so friendly . Complementary Limoncello which topped off a great dinner! :-)
