Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Incredible food at a small cafe near the Sydney CBD. We had the Arrabiata and the Bolognese along with the puffy bread and both felt it was the best sauce we’ve had outside of Italy. The puffy bread was also delightfully seasoned and crispy, a...real treat!!More

With fresh tastes and a very comfortable setting. It was a great experience and a great change of pace from the normal local cuisine.

We have come here several times over the years. They do cook Italian homestyle food very well. The space itself (for my taste) could be significantly improved by more mellow lighting. The lighting is quite bright, and stark. But otherwise…. Especially if you are travelling,...and want to feel safe and loved, this place is great. The food was very nicely cooked… I had the lamb backstrap, and it was excellent. My daughter, a coeliac, had a great pasta. It is reliable, very good, but simple food. Nothing tricked up at all… just cooked like my best friend (an Italian-Australian excellent cook) prepared it for me. If they could sort more mellow lighting, the place would be a perfect bolthole to escape from a big city. You feel like you are in an Italian relative’s back room. So don’t expect a sophisticated, glamorous, expensive fit out. Just expect food, and service that makes you feel welcomed and nurtured. And the house made Limoncello is FABULOUS. Just a lovely night. Thank you to the lovely young waiter Josh, and to the wonderful chef.More

Decided to take my gf here for her bday as we were staying near by and it had great reviews. Unfortunately it was very underwhelming. I’m not sure if a lot of the reviews are fake but no way this place is in the top...10 restaurants in Sydney. The fact that there were only a handful of people having dinner on a Friday night with such a highly rated restaurant makes me think they are. The guy at the front desk was very nice but that’s about it. Pro’s- Front of house was nice and it was easy to get a table. Con’s- the pasta tastes like packet pasta from Coles. Sauce lacked flavour. I had the pepperoni pizza and while it was ok the texture had more of a frozen pizza than freshly made. No bubbling on the crust. Very firm and not worth the money. I hate leaving negative reviews but I felt like people should know.More

This is a bit of a hidden gem. Incredibly cute Italian restaurant. Two of us had the pasta with bacon and creamy sauce. I was very thankful they were prepared to do mine without the mushrooms. One of our party had the chicken breast with...mushroom sauce. For dessert the only option when at Italian should be tiramsu and it did not disappoint.More

Had lunch here last Friday and we had terrific service and lovely pasta. Nice sized portions, made by a chef who obviously takes pride in his dishes. Will go here again whenever we are back in Sydney.

When visiting a new city, I always make an effort to find a restaurant that has pasta with basil pesto. My meals here were excellent! Everything was made fresh and the chef and wait staff were extremely attentive and friendly.

We recently spent 8 days in Sydney and actually dined here twice. Do not be deceived by the very small, unassuming facade of the restaurant. This was some of the best pasta I’ve ever had! We tried the lasagna, linguine with pesto and linguine with...bolognese. All were delicious. In my opinion, if you can’t make a good bolognese sauce, you shouldn’t be operating as an Italian restaurant. Chef has absolutely mastered a flavorful sauce! Both nights we were there, they filled up quickly (maybe 30 seats), so go earlyMore

A great little restaurant with an enormous personality, to sit and watch the chef at work, his passion for what he does is obvious, how he turns out dish after dish of delicious food. The evenings special was chorizo and asparagus risotto, wow! The ham...and mushroom pizza was fresh, hot and very tasty, everything we ate had loads of flavour and was honestly the best food we ate in Sydney. Definitely one to remember.More
