Nice place to go for a cocktail on Saturday night to watch fireworks in Darling Harbour. Friendly staff, nice music. It might get a bit loud sometimes but overall-very nice.

Stopped by to have a cigar and enjoy the view with a friend, but was stunned by the prices when we got the bill. Appreciate this is one of the few cigar bars avaliable in Sydney, certainly with a view of Darling Harbour, but I won't be back. The service was very hit and miss, the furniture was worn and... I have fond memories of past experiences at Cohibar however over the years I've witnessed a slow decline in both service and care to the point where I cannot recommend the venue to anyone. This last visit included; * Most of the venue roped off due to a private function, with a smug woman informing customers they can't sit in... More

Spent a lovely warm spring afternoon here, while there is a limited drinks choice, the prices are high. That said the play some great lounge music which helps pass the time. Great outlook over Darling Harbour to watch the world go by.

First there are beautiful views, however you can get them at other bars along the water front. We arrived to a cold evening and they had not ordered gas for the outdoor heating, then blamed company for not delivering!! every other bar had heating?? Over priced food and drinks compared to inner city and then told us they were closing... More

Friendly greeting, staff were very helpful and courteous. The venue caught my eye because of the Cigar name, was able to purchase and enjoy a cigar on the balcony while the Saturday night fireworks display was on. Wife and I enjoyed cocktails, but must say is pretty noisy, young set enjoying the night.

Came here to have a predinner cocktail. Small list of uncommon, but very good cocktails. Can recommend the Zombie ;-) The bar also offers cigars. One of the rare bars were you are still allowed to smoke on the terrace. View over Darling Harbour at sunset is so beautiful!

Came across this singular cigar bar on a freezing blustery day when we had some time to kill waiting for a flight out of Sydney. Deciding a cigar and a cognac were the only remedy for such a miserable afternoon, we googled cigar bars and discovered Cohibar was about the only open option. It didn't hurt that it was located... The selling point for this bar is the view. Its fantastic assuming you can get a seat outside. Service can be slow but if you look past this you will enjoy. Great place to take friends from OS

Unfortunately, after waiting at a very quiet bar watching a painfully inept bar service for somewhere in the region of 15 minutes, without being acknowledged, we decided to leave. The bar staff were (slowly) following printed step-by-step instructions on how to make the 'cocktail of the week' ordered by another customer. This was the first time I have ever seen... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighbourhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to Dj’s. Families can visit the Chinese Gardens of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Sydney Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
