Great little place to take a journey across Scotland!!! Hidden down the alley, take the plunge and check it out. Get there early for a table.

This bar has a ice decor and the bar is well stocked in rum and whiskey. However this bar gets too busy, dont expect to get a table or bar stool here on a Friday or Saturday. The music is too loud and there is not enough seating. The decor doesnt match the music which is like a club. This... More

We had a great time at The Baxter Inn...After we missed it the first time we tried to find it. Excellent Whisky bar with creative cocktails. A must visit next time we are in Sydney!

If you enjoy slinking into an almost secret underground location and a swig of whiskey, then Baxters Inn was made for the likes of you (& me). This isn't the kind of bar to a take window seat and watch the outside world go by. It's small, it has no windows, but by George it has quirk, shelves upon shelves... More

The atmosphere gets you as soon as you walk the alley and descend down into the basement. We gathered with a small group of friends, it was a perfect space for us to catch up and have a drink.A dimly lit space with an amazing array of whiskeys, I couldn't help but to take a photo. The whiskey sours went... More

This place is unique and is a must for anyone who enjoys a good drink before dinner. The variety on offer is amazing either from a $$ or taste perspective. I would recommend that you avoid friday late afternoon / evening due to the crowd.

This hard to find bar has a fantastic selection of scotch, and whisky as well as some hard to find bourbons. There are drinks for everyone but if you are after a trip around the world of whisky this is the only place to go. The music is good and the dark underground feel is fantastic. Its always a vibrant... More

Whisky bar. What a load oh hoo ha! Who wants to have the choice of a 100 different Whisky at ridiculous prices. They all taste the same. They all get you tipsy. Then you lubricate. Then you think I'll talk to someone. That's if you can find anyone as there seems to be lite by a camping lantern in the... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
