We have been going to Tapavino for about 4 years and every time we walk out saying this is our favorite restaurant in Sydney - the food is always tasty and fresh with wonderful service

We have been here previously - quite s number of times actually but it seems the menu has changed and it’s really underwhelming. We are fans of Spanish Cuisine and do live tapas but just did not really enjoy this visit. The cheese with lavender...More

Dined at Tapavino before the short walk to The Basement for a show. We were a group of 8 diners so were seated upstairs. I have dined here before as a couple and eaten downstairs. My preference is downstairs as it is a bit livelier...More

Dined solo at the bar while in Sydney on business. The place was packed mid-week around 7pm, with a good vibe flowing to the outdoor seating. Given the full house, I chose a seat at the bar to have a glass of wine and a...More

Wow, had a variety of tapas share plates - delicious and the wine selection awesome. Guidance on which wine by the glass suited our selection of share plates spot on.

We came 2 pers. as walk-ins and got a table outside right away. The waiter found a great wine for us after hearing out our preferences (the wine card is really extensive) and service overall was fantastic. The food was on point! Good place if...More

Service was very rude and not at all friendly. It seems they were in need of plates as they rushed to remove ours even before we had finished. Tapas were ok, not exceptional.

The need for a late end of year luncheon with a few workmates led us to Tapavino (around the corner from the office). We were presented with the Tapas menu and the wine list soon after we were seated by our waiter in a prompt...More

In Sydney on business, on a very busy pre-Christmas Friday. Wanted to take a client to lunch, but on very short notice. Wandered down Bulletin Place (the famous setting for Clarke and Dawe's intro clip) and entered a very nondescript green door to find an...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

A celebration of Sherry, Wine, Food, & Friends Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia's first Sherry Bar, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'. Our endless pages of over 300 Spanish wines and 80 Sherries is an important component of our obsession of all things Spanish, and this reflects in our dedication of bringing the most exciting boutique and artisan wines from around Spain to the Australian Market
