Perfect view at harbour front - but often a busy place and with too long serving time. Service is not so attentive. Food were average - quite OK but in no way outstanding. The place should be picked due to the good location

I booked this restaurant when I booked the oz jet boat experience they recommend Searock. I booked online and had a call to confirm and wanted to make sure that they new it was my sons birthday so we could have a table outside. So...glad I did make a booking as the day we went in was the marathon. I understand that restaurants can get busy but on a hot day in Sydney you should not have to ask for water. The waitress was quick to take the order for food and drinks. The entrees came first even before the drinks. Our daughter ordered the halloumi cheese which she really enjoyed. My husband had the brisket which was okay. I ordered the chicken salad which I must say was disappointing, it did not look good and the little chicken that was on the plate was underneath the salad. The new part of the meal was watching out 14 year old son destroy his plate of ribs. Perfect location in Sydney to enjoy a drink. I just think more staff are required on days when events are held in Sydney and a little more attention to detail.More
Hi Fiona, Thank you for leaving your feedback for us, we are glad to hear your family enjoyed our ribs and mains and we do apologise for the chicken salad not being as enjoyable, we will pass this feedback on to the chef and aim...More
Ordered our 2 meals and 2 drinks. 1st one buffalo wings to be bought out first and our cocktail first. We got our red wine first then wings and oyster 1 minute apart then 10 min later our cocktail so we had everything at once....The wings were nice. The oyster kilpactrick was cold and very dry almost no sauce, the bacon was out of a packet pre cut crap very dry and we couldn’t eat it at all. Very very disappointed as they were $72 a dozen. I would recommend do not eat hereMore
Hi Jet, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback for us. We are glad to hear you enjoyed our wings starter and our drinks. We do apologise for the unsatisfactory experience you had with our dozen Kilpatrick oysters. We do our best...More
Great quality food reasonably priced. Friendly efficient staff. We've eaten here 4 out of 5 days into our holiday so far. Recommend the halloumi & avocado burger and also the fish and chips. Try the raspberry cola too, yum!
We went with friends for a 5.30 dinner during Vivid Sydney. We arrived on time and placed our orders. There was a special menu and 3 of our group tried to order 2 dishes from that menu, only to be told they were sold out!...At 5.30…really. Neither the fish special or the chicken special was available. The meals that we ordered were most disappointing. As we were paying at the counter when we were leaving, a waiter went by carrying 3 plates of the fish special! I enquired “how come the special is now available?”, then I was told “oh they must have got some in from the restaurant next door”. If that is the way they treat there patrons, it is definitely the last time we will go there, and happily tell anyone about our appalling experience.More
Hi Rick, Sorry to hear that you left with such an experience at our venue. I am sure as you can see during that time that VIVID is one of our busiest times of the year and we cannot guarantee that we will have our...More
I've been to hundreds of restaurants in dozens of countries. Without question, this was the most expensive terrible meal I've ever had. Sure, I've had terrible meals, from sketch places, but I paid sketch prices. This was in a great location at the rocks, just...before a show at the opera house, paying more than 50$ person. The service was quick, but that's where my compliments end. My tenderloin steak was unseasoned, undercooked, and cold, served on a cold plate with unseasoned potatoes and undercooked rice with sweet potato chips. My daughter's New York strip suffered similar issues. My wife tried to order the sweet potato chips, but was told they were not available, even though they showed up on 2 of the 3 plates we ordered.More
Hi There, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, We deeply apologise that you seemed to have an unsatisfactory experience with every dish you ordered, that is very unheard of for our venue and we can assure you that this kind of...More
A great place for dinner. Steak and Pasta and great appetizers. Friendly service and a great location.
Great location to have dinner and watch sunset, be careful when asking for a strawberry daiquiri as we received a wine glass of something very lime and zesty that tasted like a pallet cleanser I ordered a peroni that was hot from the box. Ordered...the pulled beef croquettes to start and share between two they tasted good!, which set us up nicely for the main. My partner ordered the seafood curry that got the seal of approval however I ordered the scotch fillet medium with peppercorn sauce and an extra side of fries. The steak when arrived was blandly placed on the plate on its own, thought ok taste should be better than presentation unfortunately tasted the same and tasted charcoal burnt on a grill that hadn’t been Cleaned and looked more like a frying steak than a fillet, they say you get for what you pay for not in this case. Thankfully I ordered the side fries which could have been done with some seasoning. Had better steak from a pub. Staff where friendly and helpful.More
Wanted to finish our 10 days in Sydney with a steak dinner. Picked this place because it was close to where we were in the Botanical Gardens. Didn't have to book and got a place inside out of the heat. The three oysters natural were...a great start. The side salads were topped with a delicious feta, the jacket potato was such a nice change from chips, the red wine just was beautiful but the steaks...these chefs REALLY know how to cook a superb steak! If we didn't live so far away (NZ!) we'd be back very soon 😀More
Last evening in Sydney, we shared a beautiful seafood platter and very tasty bottle of Pinot Grigio, whilst sitting outside overlooking the Harbour Bridge. Good food and pleasant helpful staff. Looks like a tourist trap, but I would recommend to all.
It was a busy Saturday night at the Harbour and decided to try this place. So glad we did as it didn’t disappoint. The staff are friendly and attentive. The service was really good. The food fresh and delicious I had prawns and other had...magnificent serving of ribs. Totally mouthwatering I just had to taste as well. Good wine list and great atmosphere. Yep we liked it and hope to return.More
With Oysters being $5 each, Mrs FB dragged me in and ordered 10 !. They were still served on salt but this time they were not warm and were quickly polished off. I only had the beef croquettes for starters ( $19 )and they were...fine. Flat white coffee was $5.25, a grapefruit juice $6.50 and tonic water $6. It was quiet an epic journey to find the toilets, but they were clean when I got there !More
I stood for about 15 minutes and had to stop one of the many waitwrs loitering g at the counter. They just don't see older single peole. I watched the lady on the table beside sit for 40 mins no order taken. Another invisible person....Then another came along young beautiful and the waiters get crushed in the rush to attend to her. Another middle aged single lady arrived to wait to be seated. Staff chattering, milling around. She is also invisible. Singke males dont jave this problem. It is a problem. Just obsetve and see what happens.Get a grip. Single people can spend money too. They would also like a table and not in the broom cupboard out of sight. It's pathetic. The starter was crab avocado mayo in bloody Mary excellent. The mains New York steak. Tough. Over priced. Unacceptable.More
Nice location but poor food. In a party of four, only one of us really liked their meal. I had the Thai fish curry which was tepid and the white fish mushy and tasteless - frozen rather than fresh, I presume. Add in cheap wine...at an expensive price and you get the whole experience in this tourist trap.More
We came in without a reservation and asked right away if we had enough time to eat before our show at the opera house. The staff person said he would make sure we were served straight away and loose no time so we decided to...stay. Everything and everyone treated us so nicely. Because many of the servers heard us speak spanish they would come and ask us if we were ok and needed anything in Spanish too. The food was both beautifully served and delicious. It's surprised me to read so many reviews complaining about the food and service since we felt that everything was perfect! We will be back!!More
