Greeted by warm friendly smiles as soon as we walked through the door, I loved the dimmed lights and décor, it feels so cozy and almost like you've walked into a friend's house for dinner! Tables are neatly set and staff a quick to attend to you straight away! Food is amazing!..so much flavor and variety, the only problem was... More

Excellent Food, ambience and service. What more could you ask for? We had the lesser tasting menu and it was more than we could all eat. The food was very good, excellent flavours, textures and presentation. Don't expect to get the ubiquitous range of coffees. They only have their own brew floating on a thin layer of condensed milk. I... More

I love this restaurant. If you want the Vietnamese street food experience, that is sitting on plastic chairs and no fancy trims - then this is not for you. This is a classy little restaurant with 5 star food and service. It is what I classify as gourmet rather than street food. It has a new function room out the... More

Yet again this restaurant and their staff continue to impress. We had pre ordered the $75 per head banquet and was very pleased to see that the portions were generous and no-one left feeling underfed or still hungry. Of course every meal was amazing and not one person with us thought the food was anything less than ordinary or average.

Joined a special dining event at Red Lantern recently, got completely blown away. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The food was a explosion of flavours, which were sophisticated and perfectly balanced. The paired wines were perfect for each course. Very impressed. Will definitely return and recommend to everyone I know.

We dined here for a special dinner gourmet traveller in partnership with APT last night at the incredible Vietnamese/French influence restaurant We enjoyed a shared 9 course matching wines dinner . The whole experience was truly magnificent . Luke's ability to balance the flavours and showcase fresh produce is outstanding . Highly recommend coming here for any occasion . We... More

Lovely decor that totally transports you and attentive service are the perfect accompaniment to the delicious food. Starters are really substantial and probably better than the mains. This place is expensive for Vietnamese food but a real treat.

There was a slight delay in the service when we got there but when the food started coming it got better and better and we were completely stuffed by the end of the set menu list. The service was good and the wait staff friendly. Would have loved to see Luke there but we were initially told he was in... More

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
