Had degustation menu at $75 per person. Three types of entrees, 4 mains. Plenty of food and left full. Did not have a booking but was able to get two seats for 6pm dinner. Used Entertainment card and no issue to get discount.

We had the set lunch banquet which was absolutely to die for. We will be back! The food was serviced efficiently but with time between each dish to really enjoy the amazing flavours.

Enjoyed a great meal here last night with a group of people. Perfect atmosphere to catch up with friends or date night. We ate the tasting menu which included quite possibly the best satay skewer I have eaten. Highly recommend. Try their signature cocktail Long...More

Great Food, Good Service, starters and mains we all shared and all delicious. High Recommended! Too Many highlights to isolate one particular plate.

We were visiting from NZ and I had booked the table for my wife's birthday well in advance. It has to be noted that this restaurant is probably better set up to cater to smaller, family groups than couples. But nonetheless, we had a great...More

We had the Saigon Scrumptious set menu. Delicious! The maitre d' was aware it was our wedding anniversary and brought us complementary bubbles. A night to remember. We will be back

Food brilliant (we had the $75 tasting) - would go back just to have this again. A very good selection of wines which cater for all tastes. Service was high class and the timing of the dishes was spot on. I will be back.

As always the food is great. We always fine here when I'm Sydney (from Victoria). This visit we felt like every other table around us was more important, and they received far superior service than we did. We ordered a drink, that when the waiter...More

Good atmosphere, good service, lacks authenticity of true Vietnamese, kind of fusion, but very commercialised, I am sure many people will enjoy and find it probably very good, I was disappointed, except by the Duck which was really of excellent quality and perfectly cooked.I still...More

We went to Red Lantern for my wife's birthday with a large table of friends, some were held up with work and we had a complicated mix of vegetarians, pescatarians and carnivores. Our charming waiter handled everything with ease and a genuine smile. The food...More

Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney,
Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other
suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and
1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret
passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of
Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues
feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning.
Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small

Set within a designer space reminiscent of French Colonial Vietnam, Red Lantern on Riley mixes the nostalgia of Indochine with the personal quirkiness of the Nguyen family. The restaurant is owned and operated by chefs Luke Nguyen and Mark Jensen, and Luke's sister Pauline Nguyen. With a focus on shared dishes, an evening at Red Lantern on Riley is an experience best enjoyed with friends and family.
