I just wanted a quiet comfortable spot for a quick lunch and that is what I got. The cashier and server were pleasant. My ham, cheese and to.ato panini was fresh and nicely toasted but it was HUGE. I would have been satisfied with half of it. The price for panini and drink was only $9 - very reasonable for... More

The cafe staff were poorly trained, I bought a range of items for a group of three; including a banana and they charged me $6! when the advertised price was $1.50, we ordered large hot chocolates, we ended up getting small hot chocolates, we sent them back and they brought us the same hot chocolate (i suspect) in a different... Not everyone has realized that there is a lovely cafe tucked away on the ground floor of the State Library. It can't be seen from Macquarie Street due to a curve of the building but it's light, bright and sunny (can get a little hot in summer if you sit near the window but it's air conditioned) and serves a... This café is in a nice bright location within the State Library grounds, nearby to various seminar rooms within the library. Not a huge range of food choices, mainly wraps, rolls, salads. And the coffee is pretty good. Unfortunately there weren't many people working on the Sunday of our visit, so we had to clear our own table which certainly... More

We've been here before, convenient during the week and on any weekend. It's a quiet and relaxed spot attached to the library. Plenty of glass around the café so you don't feel closed in. Food is basic but OK. Service is typical counter-based-take-a-flag-and-grab-a-seat. No complaints, the people here seem pleasant.

The flat white was so good I went back for a second one. Excellent service, too. Just the right cup of coffee in the right amount of time.

What a great place to hangout if you have some time to spend. Great location and very quiet and comfortable. Good friendly service, there is either eat in or take away. Great cafe food highly recommended it.

Had a Cup Cake which was stale and don`t know how much it was supposed to be as they don`t give you a receipt. Had a small cup of coffee that was 2/3 full and most of that was froth. Service was ok but I walked away feeling ripped off and will look elsewhere next time

We called here on a showery morning for morning tea. Service was cheerful and efficient. The food was tasty and we were able to enjoy it, have a chat and move on when the rain stopped. A handy venue in Macquarie Street for a snack.

We had two sandwiches which were just not good. $A29 is over-priced. Limited seating and many of the tables were not clean. The nut-berry-chocolate cookie was dry and awful. I don't write a lot of negative reviews. This place is very convenient to the Library but well below average. A rating of 2 is generous. If this review is helpful... More
