As a non meat eater in Newtown I have eaten a number of the veggie pies and sweat pies probably over a few years now. I enjoy them - when they have veggie pies available that is. Even when I phone ahead and ask what...More

Had a mince pie and mushy peas. The pie was ok but nothing to jump out of your skin over. A $4 7 Eleven pie is just as good. I expected green mushy peas but was presented with beige - and not very much of...More

Tucked off the side of King St Newtown is this cozy local favourite that serves a whole range of pies. What strikes me most is the sheer range they make fresh everyday, with at least 2 vegetarian options available. We opted for a Southern style...More

It amazes me that some people don’t rate this as 5* as it is always consistently excellent. Beware the portions- especially the sweets - are big.

The Pie Tin is a stone's throw from King Street and my favourite hidden gem, the still life gallery and studio of Justin Van Den Berg in number 7 Brown Street. The coffee is rich and flavoursome and watching the pies being made in the...More

Nice place for coffee and sweet pie or a light meal of quality meat pies and chipps. Staff friendly and helpful. Parking can be a challenge esp at busy times

The meat pie (sweet duck pie) and coffee we had was nothing fantastic but the pecan pie was delicious! The staffs were friendly. The place is cozy and great for friends to just sit and chat. I would go back for the pecan pie. I...More
