Early opening so is a good place to have a coffee while waiting for the other shops to open. Coffee is always ok. Never bad but not earth shattering either.

We stumbled upon Gloria Jeans by accident. We had a great lunch and a very, very good hot cocoa. The service was patient and helpful and the food of a high quality. An altogether most pleasant experiience. A great place to stop for lunch when shopping in that part of the City.

This cafe is downstairs at World Square. It offers some peace and quiet for those looking for a break. The mocha I had was rather nice as well.

I had been to this centrally located GJ's coffee house 3 times during my stay at Sydney between Nov'13-Jan'14. I enjoyed sitting there having Creamy Hot Cocoa with couple of my friends. I decided to spend some bucks and inquired the staff to buy fresh pack of GJ's hot cocoa powder and the staff advised me to speak to his... More

You can enjoy a good coffee and a hot banana bread. The place is located under the World Tower and right in the middle of Sydney CBD, the staff is always very friendly and the service was always fast.

The coffee is good and it's a good central city meeting place to get together with your friends. The price is very reasonable too.

This Gloria Jeans is located on the lower ground floor at the World Centre shopping centre. As such, there is no daylight and the café is buried deep inside a bustling, busy shopping centre. The café itself is nice, with its boundaries clearly defined, so there is no through traffic. The seating is nice and quite open – not cramped.... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
