The reviewers are correct, you have to wait to get a seat but once you get in and order the food arrives pretty quickly. We had soft shell crab on a bed of green mango salad. It was very tasty. Recommended! Will be coming back.

Saw the good reviews and luckily our hotel (Parkroyal) in Darling Harbour was just around the corner. Went here on the first night of our stay and ended up eating here 3 times it was that good. They don't take bookings, you turn up, put your name on a board outside and take a number. We didn't have to wait... More

We took a number and waited for about 10 mins for a table. On being seated, the waitress took our order and entered it into a tablet. With the speed of a genie out of a bottle the first course arrived, followed in quick succession by the other delightfully and tasty dishes. We wanted a beer and it miraculously arrived... More

Really nice atmosphere, bustling and crowded. There were people lining up in the dinner hour. It was a pity the seating areas are a bit cramped for large groups. The food had the homely comfort that you would want with Thai food. I would love to visit next time.

One of the indicators that a restaurant is worthy of a try is when you find diverse groups of people, families, couples, business folks, etc., waiting outside for a table. This was quite interesting since we hadn't seen patrons waiting at any other restaurant over the course of our walk to Home Thai. We put our name on the list... More

Have been a regular clientele of this restaurant for approx. four years. I have noticed that quality and quantities of many aspects of this restaurant is dwindling. Quantity of main dishes are so small that you would think they were entrees especially the stir fry chilli (...also used to get four sticks of satay chicken for $9.95 and now it... More

I have been here so many times I can't count, lunch dinner whatever. Great prices. This is almost a fast food place, if you don't like being rushed this is not the place for you, food is fast and furious. Best dishes, som tum, green curry and pad Thai. There is usually a queue so go early, and be prepared to... More

Personally I find Chat Thai better, but Home Thai is still really good. The highlight was prawn salad.

Nice place with lovely and delicious thai food. We loved Satay , Tom Kah Gai soup, Roasted Peppercorn and a spicy Chicken Salad. Sticky Rice and Mango as a dessert. Prices are fair and portions good. The room is small and packed with tables. The service is fast cause there is always a queue at the door. It is a... More

We visited here for dinner whilst on holiday from interstate. The place was packed! but it didn't take long to get a seat. Great cheap authentic Thai food.
