Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Over-rated and over priced regular ice cream.. yeh sure they have a variety of flavours.. nothing unique about an ice cream place having a variety of flavours. Can find cheaper and more variety at other ice cream shops

This Gelato spot was a delightful sight after having dinner up the road. Went in and was rewarded with delicious ice cream, which was a lot better than the meal! If you're out and about, or hankering for a great dessert at Sydney at night,...make sure to go here.More

Creamy and cold without icicles. Sweet but not sugary. Thick as jam and doesn't melt in a hurry. Easy to believe why this is a cult savory in Australia.

Conveniently located near multiple restaurants, it makes a good location for an after-dinner gelato. The staff were friendly and helpful and the selection was good. The gelato was filled with flavour and very tasty. I would definitely come back for more!

this is one of 3 or 4 such branches around Sydney- the ice cream is really very good- and you can taste before you buy. And like all such places it is a little pricy but as good if not better than the competition

I love Messina! It's the best ice cream I have tasted in recent years and always call in and treat myself to some of their superb offerings whenever I'm in "Darlo". Large range of delicious flavours - some traditional, some "creative", and some good specials...are usually on offer. Their ice cream is available in a cones or tubs of various sizes, including larger tubs (1 litre, I believe) can be bought to take away for at home consumption. Messina is usually crowded and they take Covid measures seriously - ie, standard QR checkin, and only 5 people allowed in the store at a time to observe social distancing. Love it!!!!More
