Great food and i got special vegetarian treatment for the food. Price is reasonable for 3hats and top of range in sydney. I think more wine range would be great. But the food definitely stand up to its expectations. Will definitely comeback

I am a global traveller and foodie. I was curious to see what Australia considers one of its best restaurants for lunch. The food was good enough for Michelin status, but the decor is poor and the service spotty. As a traveller, I was interested in Australian wine but found that the chef does not like the unnatural additives to... More

The food is is stark contrast to the decor. The decor is nice but quite simple in layout and feel but in a nice way. The food is extraordinary and the service is attentive and informative without hovering. We visited on Valentine's Day for the degustation menu with matching wines. It was just a wonderful experience and a wonderful way... More

We dined at the Bridge Room a little while ago and there were some minor problems. Matthieu contacted us and graciously offered us a complimentary dinner. The return visit was outstanding. Matthieu welcomed us and generously offered us complimentary wine as well as the 6 course menu. All dishes were superb as was the wine and service. Clearly Matthieu is... More

We had a very enjoyable lunch with great food and service. We chose ash grilled duck and New England lamb for mains and the chocolate and perfumed fruit for dessert. All courses were very enjoyable and complemented by a great wine menu and excellent service staff. Many thanks

The Bridge room is a elegant dining experience. Wonderful food and great service. The attention to detail can not be faulted. Well worth while for special occasion or before an event a the Opera House.

This was my second visit. The restaurant is famous for duck and I haven't been able to go past this. It is extraordinary.

My husband wanted to dine at The Bridge Room for his birthday. And so we did! We had spanner crab for an entree. We both ordered Murray Cod for mains. Deliciously gourmet and service was outstanding.

We had the degustation menu with the premium matching wines and every course was absolutely fantastic. The quality of the produce, the elements within the dishes and the preparation of each course was excellent. The sommelier was also happy to vary the wines to suit our tastes and to change the sake to wine. As many guests have stated, we... More

I was being taken out by my wife for on a date night. We were VERY dissappointed with the resturant. The service for the first half an hour at 20:30 was fantastic. The rest of the night got progressively worse. It was the little things at first, no butter for the bread (which was fabulous), then the water glasses weren't... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
