A really good time was had by myself and friends at this exceptional Italian restaurant. Menu is excellent, from the humble pizza to a first rate pasta, to various meat and some seafood dishes. Wine selection whilst expensive, is good. Service is excellent. An added...bonus at this restaurant, are wine tasting events, usually around an Italian varietal. Great atmosphere - even better food.More

This beautiful Italian restaurant is tucked away on level 2 of The Strand. With excellent service and great food it’s worth seeking out.

Friendly, attentive service but we expected more from a restaurant with these prices. Our main courses were tasteless and bore no resemblance to Roman cuisine in our experience. Wine was expensive and middling. Probably better off to stick with the pasta and pizza here.

We had dinner for two at La Rosa last night to celebrate our 30th Anniversary and couldn’t have asked for anything better! The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the staff were always close at hand to ensure we had everything we needed. We...arrived early and took advantage of their Roman apertivo hour - selecting the cabanora arancini and the little Margherita pizza with our drinks - both were very tasty. For dinner we had the olive tasting plate followed by lasagne (for him) and the red snapper pie (for me), then for dessert chocolate tart (for him) and dougnut (for me) - the food was prepared beautifully and portions were perfect - although dessert did push us both over the edge...but we couldn’t resist!! Thank you La Rosa for a beautiful night.More

This place was highly recommended by hotel staff we were staying. Food was fantastic and the staff had five star service. Loved that the pasta and pizzas were made not bought. Authentic Italian restaurant. As four ladies we appreciated that the main male came in...two types of servings entire size and main meal size. Price was good and a large selection of wines. Would visit again and again!!!More

Great ambience for dinner. Well located. Great decor. Good food and great service. I had a fish (salted cod and bsrramundi) pie for mains. Was a great dish. Had Tiramisu for dessert. Fabulous.

Had a wonderful light Italian meal. The service was outstanding; the wine list tempting; and the hors d’oeuvres delightful. Everyone enjoyed their main course as well. A great way to celebrate this captivating city on our last night in Sydney.

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel. The decor is very nice but the service is way below what you would expect for a place with such high prices. We had pizza. They state it is Roman. I have been to Rome. It is not....We waited over 45min for the pizza to arrive but it was poorly cooked with a soggy base. If you want an expensive pizza with terrible service this is the place for youMore

Not my first visit to La Rosa. So I knew what to expect. I was not disappointed. Very good Italian in a very pleasant atmosphere. The added bonus of being in one of Sydney's iconic locations. Food from pizzas to of course pasta to various...meat dishes. A very good wine list.More
