We arrived at 12:45pm, but thought we would be seated at 12pm so some of our guests were waiting a long time. It was rather stuffy due to no air conditioning and very cramped, having to ask another table to move when wanting to get out for toiletting etc. The food itself was rather delicious, a few pieces we weren't... Fabulous little place tucked in around the funky area off Stanley St. This was a gift from a friend for my partners birthday. The description looked very enticing. When we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown our table for two. Saturday afternoon and several big tables of women having a great chat and catch up along with a hens... More

We have been wanting to try this place for so long, and glad we finally did. The food is modern Eastern European, and as our heritage is the same, we were very happy with all their twist on traditional dishes. It may be an acquired taste, but we were very happy with everything. The fried cauliflower is to die for,... More

I bought a Groupon for High Tea for me and older family. The reviews were dodgy and I wondered if I'd made a mistake - I hadn't. The food was good and the staff were lovely. Perhaps more attention and better air conditioning. But good food, lovely cocktail and a great twist on high tea - would definitely recommend 😊

We enjoyed the food and the service was great. We had a groupon voucher. It was a hot day and when one of the fans was not working the waiter gave us complimentary cold drinks. Would love to return to try the dinner menu.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally had the chance to do so through a website deal that was too good to miss. We diners were two couples, one of which is vegetarian - the waitress explained that most dishes can be made vegetarian upon request and so they had the 3 cheese pierogi, Bulgarian... More

Well worth a visit. We will be coming again. Food was faultless. Signature cauliflower pirogi and pork knuckle all superb. Engaging pleasant staff and a quirky retro interior.

I gave my sisters a hight tea as a gift and unfortunately the experience was not pleasant. Mostly the service let this premises down, I will not buy it as a gift or will try it myself.

The food was fantastic without a scone in sight. Loved the detailed, retro-chic decor for an experience out of the ordinary not to mention great value for money.

Staying in Darlinghurst

Neighbourhood Profile
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
