Food was delicious and cocktails were beautiful. I had a lovely night and do recommend this place. The restaurant’s environment and music are great.
Very friendly staff, by the way. The host woman was really friendly and customer service oriented.
I visited el loco to celebrate my 50th birthday.
The food was amazing, decor bright, cheery & colourful & the staff were extremely friendly.
A big shout out to Paul for my lovely complimentary margarita. It was really thoughtful of him.
I’ll definitely go again
Nice place to hang out with friends! Good food and good drinks. Be ready though, this place is pricy! The waitress is a bit rude as well, or maybe just not her day! so totally understand. I’d still come back I just need to give...my wallet a break lolMore
The mexican is mostly authentic here. The seating arrangements are inside tables or al fresco. The ambience is good as there is a stream of Latin/mexican music and the walls are decorated with traditional mexican paintings.
The portions are relatively small but that may be...because if you have eaten the same dishes at a similar tradtional restaurant in Mexico or USA, there the portions are rather large in comparison with these, especially for the price.More
This place is very relaxed and friendly. They always have good beers on tap and usually feature an interesting beer of the week.
Food is very hearty and delicious. The loaded nachos with pulled pork were great.
Only place around Surry hills Foveaux street to pick up some food after 10 pm. A good Mexican restaurant offering great drinks, cocktails & selection of food. If you need a late dinner around this area, this is the only kitchen which is open.
Not only was this food dry it wasn't even Mexican! My colleagues and I felt that the beef resembled that of stir-fry old Thai beef. The quesadillas tasted like tandoori - not to mention the POOR SERVICE STANDARDS. Each time we tried to get the...attention of the waitresses we were either ignored entirely or dealt with 20 minutes later (our food was gone at this point)
Overall - great for drink, but for service, food and vibes - I've had better dining experiences at Town Hall Maccas.
Btw - so so so so overly priced! We want to small bar today ( an Australian restaurant?!) who do weekly specials and we paid $10 for the best tacos ever.
Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss.More
Visited today for a quick lunch. Ordered a salad with cabbage avo fennel and tacos. $18.50 for salad and 3 tacos for $20. Drinks both non alcohol were $5.50 or more each. Food was okay. Tasty. The salad lacked enough fennel and had minimal avo....Lots of cabbage. We had fish chicken and tofu tacos.More
One of us is a celiac (not just 'gluten free by choice'!) the kitchen team were very accommodating outlining what was gluten free. Head chef particularly knowledgeable of our needs. They even have a separate deep fryer so our daughter could tuck into the yummo...chips which are often deep fried with food containing gluten...
Staff are relaxed & friendly but still professional.
We took our dog as we live close by & sat outside...nice!More

Once regarded as the traditional fashion area, Surry Hills has broadened its appeal. This neighbourhood continues to distinguish itself as a shopping destination, offering the best collection of one-of-a-kind boutiques, designer brands and flagship stores in the city. Today, this area has evolved into a hub of media, design and professional services - a colourful and diverse place equally known for its
antique dealers, art galleries, cafes and pubs. Strolling down the street on a Saturday morning, you’ll see a mix of students, artists, hipsters and a few all-nighters from Oxford Street, the “Gay Capital of Sydney”. In this vibrant neighbourhood you will find bohemian chic and modern style co-existing side by side.
