We both had poached eggs with side. Food was average and spicy chirozzo wasn't. Toast too thin for my liking and so was rock hard. However the coffee was delicious

My friends and i went to this place for brunch. We ordered some food from breakfast menu and coffee. I ordered soy latte and it was the best one i've ever had! Food was also nice, however it took long time for food to come out.. i think i would go back to place for nice coffee and good atmosphere:)

VERY good Breakfast.. Croque De Grille was spot on.. let down by the Coffee.. you shouldn't mess up a long black. A long black is not a full cup of black coffee. The pour should only fill to around 2/3rd of a cup.. came out to the brim and watery.. would have been 5*

Palces like this are hard to find but easy to get. A place for excellent value for money when it comes to food and wine. Be it from the display or the menue. We got excited with our toasted pumpkin/feta and the roasted chicken sandwich served with a beutifully decorated cappucino from the own roast.

I found the Fine Food Store in the Rocks sadly disappointing. I had passed by a few times and been keen to try it as it looks so stylish and was always full of people. My friend had the lamb shoulder & chickpea stew (with tahini yoghurt & sour dough toast) - which she said was just “fine”, and contained... More

Went there for breakfast with my wife. Had the baked beans and smashed avo with ricotta. Both were delish. Cofee was a little cold but a very nice blend.

The Bircher muesli is great and the coffee is good. Nice atmosphere except I'm not a loud music fan at breakfast time. But I am going back this morning!

This little restaurant is slightly hard to find - located upstairs on the corner of a little walkway in the historic Rocks area. It's an ideal place to escape from the heat or the rain and has a funky ambience. They have an interesting menu with healthy options such as hummus and falafel wraps, gluten free slices etc. My coffee... More

Nestled amongst the Rocks this trendy cafe did not disappoint. We had breakfast. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, the bacon was not oily. The chai tea was not the typical powder or syrup style but properly brewed. The coffee lived up to expectation. It was clear they use quality ingredients and the service was friendly and efficient.

This place really did surpass our expectations even after reading all the rave reviews on TA. The coffees were by far the best we'd had in the whole of Sydney and served up by a crew of staff that really seemed to be enjoying themselves despite it being busy. They all went about their business with a sense of purpose... More

Staying in The Rocks

Neighbourhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighbourhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
