Not what we expected

An average experience. This restaurant is in the Mecure Hotel. We were unaware of this when booking, therefore not very easy to find. The service very much hit and miss. The halloumi although nice, was served in a iron pan that was extremely hot you...could not touch it and we had to wait at least 10 minutes until we could eat it. Steaks not the best. The staff although pleasant, appeared to be in a hurry at the end if tge evening, to ‘set up’ tables for breakfast. We were never asked about dessert. Would not return.More

Consistent excellence

Two nights. Two different meals. The same attentative staff. Both meals excellent. First night my wife challenged with her allergies and they rose to the occasion. In a busy restaurant they remembered and my preferences.

Excellent

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Decor is very restful, staff most helpful and friendly. I have several food allergies which make dining out a challenge - chef rose to the challenge. Halloumi entre was amazing! Thank you to the entire team.

Great food, personable service.

We had a really lovely dinner here. The food is great quality modern Australian with gorgeous flavours. The only issue we had was the length of time it took to get our Mains. It was about 50 minutes after ordering we got them, but to...be fair we had booked right as the kitchen opened. Service was amazing, first place I've been too in Sydney that was transparent and upfront about water charges which is deeply appreciated!More

Worth a visit!

Came based on reviews. Glad I did! Steak was phenomenal, cooked perfectly. Mushroom sauce was a must! Credit to the chef's. Service was prompt and friendly. Worth a visit! Nice selection on beer and wine.

Wonderful experience! Fantastic staff, great food!

All the staff who helped us were amazing!!! Super friendly, helpful and really makes you feel special. Food was super delish! Kudos to the chef! I had the angus sirloin and mum had lamb shoulder. Mine could've been licked clean but it wouldn't be proper...to lick so I just finished every single bit on my plate. Mum, who has very high standards, really liked the lamb shoulder. We shared the trifle for dessert because of its generous serving. Mains and dessert - perfect taste, I really loved it! Thank you and kudos so the staff!More

Staff are amazing under pressure!

This is a lovely restaurant. I had the halloumi and lamb, my partner had the prawn entree and sirloin. The food was great, staff were attentive and professional and the ambience was just right. There was a family of two adults and one child at...a table tonight and one of the adults, a grey haired racist American embarrassed himself horribly with his over the top comments about a steak that he didn’t like. His voice carried, he made racist remarks about the colour of the chefs skin and he refused to pay the bill. I saw the staff behave admirably under this kind of abuse. They continued to politely offer options to try and satisfy this man but he clearly wanted to dine and dash and had no shame about it. No one deserves to be treated the way he was treating the staff. They deserve a fat bonus. 5 stars!More
