The food is great, and so is the service. The date tart is one of my favourite deserts of all times -- really worth trying with a good desert wine. The ambience is OK, but it is more business than romance.

The restaurant was pretty full but the ambience was lovely. Great service from the sommelier and wait team. Specials sounded fabulous but we stuck to the main menu and it was superb.

For a superb, fine dining experience, I highly recommend Rockpool Bar & Grill, Hunter Street, Sydney. Last Friday night was the second time my wife and I have dined there. On this occasion, we were seated at a table on the mezzanine level overlooking a...More

This is so far (by far) the best fine dining restaurant in Sydney in my opinion. The food is outstanding which is a must really for such an establishment. But the ambience is excellent too. You can easily have a decent chat there too because...More

Food are very well done, excellent quality and cooked the way you asked. Had a very nice medium rare wagyu oyster blade steak. The sides are very yummy too! Proportion looks small when they cut the steak for you but definitely filling! The waiter was...More

I think I've been to pretty much of all of Sydneys more fine dining establishments, and this one is really bottom of the pile. Service is unfriendly and unreliable -actually comparable to an RSL. Food was poor - Better steaks are available at fair more...More

We had a highly anticipated visit to Rockpool but were a little disappointed. The restaurant is beautifully laid out and decorated. Our entrees were exquisite as was the service. We chose two sides to accompany our main course - the cauliflower cheese gratin was beautiful...More

My girlfriend and I recently visited the renowned Rockpool Bar and Grill in Sydney. Now before I get my toes tapping, the flavour and taste of all of the dishes were both memorable and tantalising. I cannot remember tasting something so magical in an extremely...More

There are places you put on a list of places you must go when you visit. The Wolseley and the Clove Club London. Al Girarrosto Da Cesarina Milan. The Firebird New York (now sadly gone). Meierei Vienna. Alcron Prague. Inakaya Tokyo. And so on. Rockpool...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

The realistic answer is probably no. If you look at their website, you can view the menu. I had a look at it just then and 99% of the dishes are either meat or seafood. There seems to be only one vegetarian main course... More
