... which is less noisy, a third of the price (a table next to us with three ladies made the same observation), and is far friendlier (or less pretentious, even less intrusive in terms of service). For our first monthly anniversary we wanted something different. And it was. One of the write ups I saw suggested it was dark in... More

We were Recomemded Sepia by some friends who live in Sydney. We hadn't booked but walked in on the cough we thought we would be turned away an to our surprise they took us to a table for 2. We were ecstatic. We had the 9 course taster menu with wine pairing. Every course was so amazing, artistic, an flavoursome.... More

We are farmers from qld and thought we would try fine dining. It was incredible, the food was impeccably presented and with character from most of the lovely waiters. The sommelier was absolutely gorgeous, very eager to make sure we had the best wines and enjoy ourselves rather than be uppity as we have seen before with other sommeliers, an... More

From trying to make a booking through to the actual meal - not an experience I will repeat, Arrogant, over-priced and generally unpleasant experience.

Recent lunch at Sepia was very disappointing. Rumour has it that Sepia is about to close their so called fine dining, and reopening as a simple restaurant. Good idea I'd say. Tetsuya's restaurant in Sydney, and The Press Club in Melbourne do fine dining very well. Their wine paring is very reasonable at $90.00 a head, and the food is... More

We are a group friends who visit fine dinning restaurants every few months & generally indulge ourselves in the degustation menus with matching wines. I wish I had something complimentary to say about Sepia but I'm at a loss for words. I appreciate that some of the dishes may not be to everyone's taste, but in my opinion the flavour... More

Admittedly it was a special occasion but we had dinner with friends at Sepia last night and it was one of the most amazing dining experiences ever. The restaurant is tasteful and deceptively low key with dark notes which was a great foil for the meal. It was no exaggeration to say it was an experience, morsels of exquisitely prepared... More

OMG this is seriously one of the best dining experiences I have had. Every mouthful was perfection. We had the 10? Course degustation menu as a 'special' birthday celebration with matched wines. I cannot rave more highly about how fabulous our 5 hour lunch experience was. Worth every penny!!

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner with my husband.Their attention to detail is immaculate. Each dish is like an work of art, and a good selection of matching wines.Expensive but so worth it. Glad I had the experience to dine here.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
