Awesome food - steaks tender and tasty. Visit everytime we are in Sydney. Great garlic bread. Creme brulee was a little dry/overcooked but everything else was wonderful

Hurricanes is a bar and grill famous for their succulent ribs and BBQ meat. The Hurricanes menu is that popular, they have a number of venues around Sydney. You can guarantee a good protein fix there! We visited the Darling Harbour location and you can...find it in the Harbourside shopping centre overlooking the harbour with a view of the Sydney skyline. It is a spacious venue with floor to ceiling glass to take advantage of the views. It is extremely large with plenty of tables, a bar and open plan so you could easily host a large party. We arrived at 12 noon and within 15 minutes the place was packed! It clearly is very popular and for good reason. We were promptly taken to our table by lovely staff and seated right at the windows with a lovely outlook. We perused the menu and began with some drinks. The passionfruit mojito was excellent, and you can also get a number of other cocktails, beers and wines from their bar. Food wise, we obviously ordered some ribs!Hurricanes are famous for their ribs and steaks and they use a unique basting sauce to provide a lovely flavour to their meats. Meat cuts are all halal certified from their suppliers and can have no sauce upon request. Since we wanted a try of all of them, we opted for the meat platter with pork, lamb and beef ribs. Whilst they were all good, pork was our favourite. They came with some tasty fries and it was a generous serving. Whilst hurricanes may not be known first and foremost as a seafood restaurant, but there’s plenty of seafood options too and we found it to be of excellent quality. Perfectly cooked, the scallops and mussels were served in the open shell, and the platter came with split prawns, half a lobster, salmon fillet, tempura prawns and salt and pepper squid. Served atop a plate of rice, all items were delicious. Whilst we didn’t have a steak on this visit, Hurricanes are notorious for their steak. There’s numerous meats and cuts to select from. Whether it be the rump, strip stirloin, fillet tenderloin or T bone, you will find your perfect match. Wagyu, dry aged or long fed beef, Meats come with your choice of fries, salad or baked potato and you can order a sauce to accompany it. Hurricanes also serve other main menu items like beef cheeks, lamb cutlets, pork knuckle, grilled chicken, burgers and more. If you are super hungry or a couple wanting to share a meal Hurricanes have a number of combo deals. There’s desserts to top off your dining experience. The menu is certainly extremely approachable so we imagine it would satisfy any dining party.More

We are family of 4, arrive at 6.30 and to be honest with you it’s quite early for dinner. Restaurant was pretty much empty and we ask for a table out side however our wish was denied! Both of my kids had $28 tenderloin.. we...order from a full menu and it’s not kids meals.. I had a T-bone $45 my husband had $55 ribeye on the bone.. steak was average.. it’s all a bit too hard to ask for any services as such.. can’t do chicken wings with out sauce.. not hard really in my opinion.. the calamari was ok overall service was average and same as the food. I miss the old Hurricane where service and food are much better! Sad but true... at the end.. Hurricane has turn into a fast food joint where food came before drinks, main cause arrive before we finish our starter and half of the deserts in the menu was not available! Never again... and we used to be a fan!More

I had the Hurricanes Burger and Pork Ribs on two separate occassions. I had high expectations since this is quite a well-known and popular ribs, burger and grill chain restaurant. The first time I had the pork ribs and it was acceptable, but I would...not say above average or anything special. It was rather expensive as well compared to other comparable CBD restaurants. I thought I would give the supposedly famous Hurricane's burger a go since this was their signature burger, and unfortunately that was below average. The burger was overwhelmed by a massive burger bun, and a flimsy small beef patty with very little other fillings and dry as anything - one drop of sauce! The chips were not hot, crisp or crunchy. I was really disappointed as I had high expectations, and felt like I wasted a day's calories on something not worth it! Again not a cheap burger meal either. I think Hungry Jack's is better. I have been trying the various CBD chains for the best burgers, chips, ribs, desserts, cakes etc and this one definitely falls short. I gave them two chances on two separate occassions, but I won't be returning. I would have given them one star for the food but I will give them an extra star as their staff and service was above average, but it still doesn't compensate for bad food.More

We came here for dinner on a weeknight. Covid safe, tables were clean, diners spaced out and staff were friendly and attentive especially Innes who was great. We had a burger and ribs/steak combo. Servings were generous and tasty. Food was served quickly. Nice table...with a good view of Darling Harbour.More

Love the pork and beef ribs from Hurricane's Grill, they are the reason to visit the restaurant, besides the exceptional and attentive service. Love the bar, the view, and the ambience too. Both types of meat came with a chosen side dish (either chips or...salad). Beef ribs are meatier but drier than pork. The pork ribs are delicious but didn't have a lot of meat. Wish Hurrican can improve those aspects. We also had a refreshing rocket salad with olive and parmesan cheese. Side note, the salad we paid for is way fresher and better than the complimentary salad (which came with ribs). I mean, please give us a better salad quality even though it's small. Overall, pleasant experience. Will come back for a special occasion.More

We had our son’s second birthday dinner at Hurricanes. Booking was easy and servers were pleasant and attentive. All the meals were delicious. I had the ribs and rump combo which was great. My wife and mother in law both had steaks. All were cooked...perfectly according to the order. The only criticism is that the steaks only come with one side rather than the traditional two (such as chips & salad or mash & veggies). The sticky date pudding was a pleasant surprise and capped off a lovely evening. We look forward to going back next time we are in Sydney.More
