We came straight from the airport to kings cross station and wanted some lunch while we waited for check in to open at our accommodation. The service was excellent- really fast, and attentive. The food was delicious- a great range of specials and some good healthy options on the menu. I enjoyed the chicken qa'atar, and my partner had the... More

Mediocre and generally lacking in flavor. Beetroot salad was a mess and insanely over dressed. One redeeming quality was the service.

Found this café close to hotel and was very pleasantly surprised by quality of food and coffee. We all enjoyed our different breakfast fare and all agreed the coffee was excellent as well. The price for breakfast was very reasonable, staff attentive and the décor very relaxing - nice combination of indoor and outdoor. Will certainly visit again

We have been eating breakfast here on the weekends for several years and it never fails to please. The menu is great, the service prompt and friendly and an added bonus is the outdoor seating which means you can bring your dog.

We were staying a little way down the street from here and it was recommended as a great place to grab a coffee to start the day. And it certainly is. However it also does a decent range of food, we managed to stay long enough for brunch once, although must have have take out coffees 3 or more times.... More

My parents had breakfast here over the weekend and loved it, so they took me there today. Unfortunately my veggie brekkie was completely inedible - the beans were cold like they hadn't been heated at all, the poached egg was still raw, and to add insult to injury it had taken forever for the food to come out in the... Nice cafe in the cross, gets very busy on Saturdays and Sundays. Very dog friendly (so bear that in mind) but a good selection of food and coffee. They have weekly breakfast specials which tend to be nice but a bit more overpriced ($19) compared to the standard breakfast options ($13-$15). It could do with some new furniture outdoors as... Great food, service and location but the amount of dogs ... It's like sitting down in a pet shop, dogs everywhere. They are sitting up at tables, on people's laps and wondering around without leads. This is off putting and extremely unhygienic. Last week I watched someone pull dog biscuits out of their bag and feed their dog at the... More

Staying in Kings Cross

Neighbourhood Profile
Kings Cross
Changing liquor laws are remodeling "The Cross," Sydney's red light district. These new rules have encouraged trendy cafes and boutiques to pop-up in the area, as well as organic markets on Saturdays. The area's nightclubs are still popular with youngsters, however, who will dance to the early morning hours on weekend nights. There are plenty of artifacts from Kings Cross' shady past when gangsters and liquor houses owned the place. Today, one can still find a variety of adult entertainment venues in this evolving area.
