If you ever crave for decent pho whilst in Ultimo, then Mekong will not disappoint. It’s not the best we’ve ever had, but probably the best one you can find in the area. We ordered the pancake too and found that it had a very...strong coconut taste. The pricing here is a little bit on the higher side, but makes sense due to its location.More

Entrees-mixed platter, duck pancake and satay skewers. loved all specially the scallops and the crab pancake. Duck pancake a little underwhelming. Mains-duck confit, really good; beef massaman, just ok with too many chunky undercooked veg, sauce was a bit watery ; cambodian ribs, just ok...and also with chunky uncooked veg, cauliflower chunks, undercooked sweet potato, a big wedge of pumpkin; crispy pork, just ok, meat a bit hard to chew and more onions than snow peas. Sides: fried rice, good; papaya salad, ok Over-all: Underwhelmed by the mains and the pictures had us salivating more than the real food laid on the table. The dishes did not even come close to their description. Staff: good but there was only one person taking all the orders, serving the food and clearing away with 3 tables occupied.More

Nice food but for four of us entree and mains came out 10 minutes apart and one dish was wrong. For the price expectations dishes come out all out at once and better quality. ribs I can cook better at home

Great to be able to get out and about. Had to book as spaces are limited. QR codes and all Covid practices in place. Service was friendly, quick and courteous. Food was fantastic with a variety of different tastes to enjoy. Set on three levels...with lift. Limited drinks for beer but really enjoyed the Vietnamese beer. Plenty of free cool water. We all had a great time.More

We had the banquet menu. Generally it was much of a muchness. Flavours were a little bit repetitive and there wasn’t much variety in textures. The chilli was a bit overpowering in almost everything. Service was average to poor. We came in ahead of numerous...people but they got served in no particular order, other than ahead of us. All up we were there for over two hours. This place is okay but my suggestion is go for a walk to Haymarket and save the dollars for a ferry trip Manly or a tipple at the casino.More

A brightly decorated and relaxed dining experience. The dishes are south eastern Asian. We had the mixed entree platter which was great and the seafood curry and bbq chicken as entrees with sides of papaya salad and fried rice. The chicken was nicely marinated and...tender and the seafood curry was excellent. Dishes are well priced with good sized portions. Would go back for sure.More

The food at Mekong is good and the range of the menu is extensive. However, my partner and I were a little underwhelmed with the quality. We probably wouldn’t dine here again given that you can get cheaper and tastier dishes at Vietnamese restaurants elsewhere.

Service was really good, salads were dry and hot foods was very cold. We told the staff and they were lovely and apologized and give us a papaya salad on them.

From the moment would booked online the experience was professional and courteous. The event was perfect. Very good service. Excellent, fresh, and tasty food. And best of all great value for money. High-end restaurant feel that won't hurt the wallet. Highly recommended. We will visit...again as there is plenty n the menu to choose from.More

Mekong is consistently good, which is why its one of the few restaurant that we keep going back to. It's very sad seeing so many restaurants empty currently, so we made a point of visiting to celebrate a family birthday.
