Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Best find in Coffs. This surely is the best coffee in Coffs. Great range of blends. Food also excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. Quirky atmospheric cafe with lots of searing options in large soace. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely calm and happy retreat just off the main highway with good coffee and cakes and fresh ingredients. My husband had the club sandwich on the strength of another TA review and it did everything right. I had the hummingbird cake - I can’t go...past a decent sized moist cake with icing. It tasted as good as it looked. Also there was beautiful live music - first and third Fridays of each month and that was an unexpected bonus. Staff were friendly and the toilet facility was clean and had paper towels to dry your hands - really hate those air dryers!! I asked for our small flat whites extra hot and they were not, but they were hot and a decent sized cup. We will definitely stop here again.More

My teenager loved her club sandwich, it looked awesome. My coffee was good! Next time I’ll get the stronger brew available. Menu had lots of great options. We definitely call in again.

It's taken a while but Coffs now has great coffee options and Palate & Ply is quite possibly the best. Excellent coffee, and they've gone to a lot of trouble with the decor without having seemed to. It's a cool place to catch up for...a coffee, and the "garage" section is quieter and good for meetings. I noted the couple of dog friendly tables out the front too.More

I just love this place especially because i love the old world charm of ringing the cafe on their work phone and ordering a coffee when im in a rush in the car and any staff that answer are most happy to take my order!...No app for ordering, just a phone call, how cool. The cafe itself is a great easy to park location and is massive inside. perfect for kids and business meetings, I've done both. I've been going to Palate and Ply irregularly ever since they changed from Artisi and their coffee has been a high standard every singe time no matter what barista, month or year! thanks guysMore

Delicious, healthy food, great ambience and wonderful coffee roasted on site. We love the reusable stainless steel coffee pods for our Nespresso machine Palate & Ply sell along with their Leap (decaf) and Roar (smooth) coffee. Their Rage (stronger roast) is great for mornings when...we need an extra boost. With great art (including some local artist pieces) and a funky atmosphere, Palate & Ply is a place for the ‘must visit’ list when in Coffs Harbour.More

I love the holidays...it means road trips which include supporting our favourite half way stop in Coffs Harbour! Palate & Ply's owners and team always make us and their customers welcome. It is truly remarkable how they even know so many of their regulars names! You...just have to stand in the queue to experience it. I love the addition of the new little tables guys! We sat upstairs and just love the way you have done your new decor. The carrot cake is to die for! My partner was reluctant to even share his. The vego Bennie is so generous and delicious too. Great work on the coffee and the swan was just beautiful. Great cafe' as always.More

Food and service are consistently good and the coffee is done perfect every time. However, some tables are supported by milk crates and others are portable work tables that have metal cross bars on the sides where guests' legs should be able to fit. Whacking...one's knee when trying to sit straight under the table is a problem. The wobbly tables near the comfy sofas are a great way to get your coffee to spill. The chairs and metal stools are functional I suppose but also add to a physically uncomfortable dining experience. The contrast between all the positives and the uncomfortable tables and chairs is notable and does not serve the owners and friendly staff well.More

This is possibly the safest food venue that my family and colleagues have visited. These operators are on top of their game for excellent, professional and consistently friendly service. What amazes us is how many of the customers are greeted by name while you are...waiting to be served.. it is quite something to see. Palate & Ply's crew made us feel very safe with their Covid marshalling and we could not believe how a customer in front of us was so rude about scanning the NSW QR code to go into the venue. Really? ??If your are having a bad day, don't take it out on the industries that have done it tough mate!! Palate and Ply should be commended for doing their part in keeping Australia safe! The coffee roasted here also has that Wow factor. The nitro brew is possibly the best I have tasted. Served beautifully- it is well worth trying. The food is wholesome, fresh and always served happily. The only negative is that parking can sometimes be hard to find, but then it shows this place is the one to go to.More
