Delicious, healthy food, great ambience and wonderful coffee roasted on site. We love the reusable stainless steel coffee pods for our Nespresso machine Palate & Ply sell along with their Leap (decaf) and Roar (smooth) coffee. Their Rage (stronger roast) is great for mornings when...we need an extra boost. With great art (including some local artist pieces) and a funky atmosphere, Palate & Ply is a place for the ‘must visit’ list when in Coffs Harbour.More

I love the holidays...it means road trips which include supporting our favourite half way stop in Coffs Harbour! Palate & Ply's owners and team always make us and their customers welcome. It is truly remarkable how they even know so many of their regulars names! You...just have to stand in the queue to experience it. I love the addition of the new little tables guys! We sat upstairs and just love the way you have done your new decor. The carrot cake is to die for! My partner was reluctant to even share his. The vego Bennie is so generous and delicious too. Great work on the coffee and the swan was just beautiful. Great cafe' as always.More

Food and service are consistently good and the coffee is done perfect every time. However, some tables are supported by milk crates and others are portable work tables that have metal cross bars on the sides where guests' legs should be able to fit. Whacking...one's knee when trying to sit straight under the table is a problem. The wobbly tables near the comfy sofas are a great way to get your coffee to spill. The chairs and metal stools are functional I suppose but also add to a physically uncomfortable dining experience. The contrast between all the positives and the uncomfortable tables and chairs is notable and does not serve the owners and friendly staff well.More

We have always struggled to find a convenient coffee stop in Coffs. No longer. There is ample street parking in the area, the decor is striking and staff are very friendly. Best of all is the coffee. Based on owner recommendation, we chose the dark...roast Rave - not for the faint hearted but exactly what we wanted.More

This is possibly the safest food venue that my family and colleagues have visited. These operators are on top of their game for excellent, professional and consistently friendly service. What amazes us is how many of the customers are greeted by name while you are...waiting to be served.. it is quite something to see. Palate & Ply's crew made us feel very safe with their Covid marshalling and we could not believe how a customer in front of us was so rude about scanning the NSW QR code to go into the venue. Really? ??If your are having a bad day, don't take it out on the industries that have done it tough mate!! Palate and Ply should be commended for doing their part in keeping Australia safe! The coffee roasted here also has that Wow factor. The nitro brew is possibly the best I have tasted. Served beautifully- it is well worth trying. The food is wholesome, fresh and always served happily. The only negative is that parking can sometimes be hard to find, but then it shows this place is the one to go to.More

Great spot, very friendly and a very good coffee, I had the medium roast coffee which was lovely, but I believe the dark roast is even better. A must stop if you are in Coffs.

Thank you for the stop over. The medium roast Roar is great but if you like a darker more punchy coffee Rage is the one :)

We were passing through Coffs harbour on our way to Byron Bay this week. Reading reviews on TA and Google , we decided to swing by for coffee and breakfast. This place is a hidden gem. The young crew are staff are super friendly and...the mature lady with blonde hair has a very good handle on her operation. She was attentive, friendly and welcoming. It must be a family operation, because this team is tight and works well together. The barista even brought it out to us. The food is fresh, well presented and the cakes are on point. Whatever they have done with their coffee, they are nailing it. The super fit young man who chatted to us when he collected our plates is very well trained on customer service. The artwork and decor since we were last there three years ago is exceptional. The coffee is even better than our last visit. Not sure who did the painting on the wall and display boards, but they deserve all the accolades for a job well done. We sneaked upstairs -it was blocked off for an event? to look at the changes they have made. The whole theme of Africa is really unique and refreshing. Very cleverly done. My wife bought a takeaway for us and then we saw the design on the cups.Beats the socks off all the other boring cafe's we stumble on, and we are well travelledMore
