We've recently started meeting friends here and have been delighted by the welcoming atmosphere and quirky decor. There is a massive heater that keeps the place snug on cooler nights. The staff are friendly and the food has been very tasty.
We dined here in late March and had a very enjoyable meal. The staff were very helpful and accommodating with food allergies. Would have loved to stay for the trivia night that was going in but we were seated in the wrong area.
It used to really busy and vibrant ages ago, now it looks a little disheveled around the edges.
We thought we'd give it a go as we hadn't been there in years.
It was an average meal. Atmosphere was family orientated, but lacking in any...real feeling. It was dim inside, at least they had some TV's showing AFL and NRL on.
Food came out quickly which was a relief as we could then leave.
Wont be going back any time soon.More
We went here for lunch looking for a good steak and a caesar salad. They sure had good steaks ! Cooked exactly as requested and sides with a home made red wine and mustard vinegarette.
The caesar had heaps of bacon in it too !...Staff were friendly and courteous as well.
5/5 would recommend if you're looking for a good Aussie feed.More
My husband and I had dinner here before going to see a movie. We chose the Tavern for convenient and glad we did. Both our meals were really good and we didn't leave Hungary. I had a pizza and my Husband a pasta, both meals...were really nice. I would go back here. Choose a spot away from a party group (if there are any) for a quieter meal.More
Haven’t been here for many years but wasn’t disappointed with this return visit. All three of us loved our meals. I had an amazing salad, so tasty. Was quiet the evening we were there. Other diners meals also looked lovely. Kid friendly. Outdoor and indoor...dining choices which is good if you don’t want highway traffic noise. A Pleasant eveningMore
Very disappointing evening at the Greenhouse Tavern. i should have taken note of other reviews I read. Food ok but terrible service and extremely rude staff. We went with our extended family of 10 on Boxing Day. Was told we could not place order for...more than 8 meals at once so we had to do separate 2 orders and our food then consequently came out at all different times (some of our group finished whilst others were still waiting on meals). We had to wait for an hour for our meals even though the place was only one third full and when we finally went to order dessert at 8:33pm we were told that the kitchen had closed 3min earlier. When we politely suggested that perhaps in future they could advise customers that the kitchen is closing at 8:30 when people are ordering meals or put up a sign or something to advise customers, all we got was a shrug and indifference from the manager and a whinge that it was a public holiday and they had been really busy night and they had enough of demanding customers and It was too bad we missed the kitchen. Like wow. Ever think that maybe if you have a lot of demanding customers it is because you are doing something wrong?More
