EXPENSIVE. Food was fine, nothing incredible… service was ok. But almost $40 for an eggs Benny and coffee? I won’t be rushing back
The best on the coast. It's a must do for sure. The food, coffee and service was brilliant. We'll be back for sure
This restaurant is fabulous. The food is divine. The Virgin Mary is spicy and Mia is the best server I have had.
The food is good as is the service - it’s all standard cafe foods, but the pricing is kind of absurd frankly and the food isn’t memorable or unique enough to make me want to come back for the prices charged - the median price...of everything on the menu was about $35, which for breakfast is probably the highest menu pricing I’ve ever seen both in Coffs and truly anywhere else. We spent over $150 on breakfast for 3 people and I understand there are costs to running a small business - but no where else have I ever been charged $7.50 for a pot of tea?!More
Great vegetarian options with awesome attention to detail in their presentation. Delighful interactive customer service from the owners themselves. Definitely coming back and for Breakfast this time.... can't wait!!!
Coffee always consistently great.......whether short/long black, flat white or latte. Definitely worth a tip!!!
Wonderful atmosphere for breakfast. Friendly service and food cooked and presented to perfection. Coffee was awesome too.
Have to agree with previous reviewers comment in relation to being expensive by comparison, however, on an extremely busy Saturday morning - Oztag in town - we found a table for six adults and 5 kids. Service was amazing, friendly and efficient in a very...busy time. Coffee very good, food consumed tasty but at an premium price. Overall we enjoyed our breakfasts, very appreciative of finding us a table and congratulate staff on their work ethicMore
For a kids burger that had a sprinkle of fries was $18, and no drink option, over many places I have eaten the most I have paid is $13 and comes with a drink or scope of ice cream. The grilled chicken sandwich was small...in portion for charging almost $30, with no side spade &/or chips. The most I have experienced paying for the same sandwich is $12-$20, if I paid more I would expect it to have a side on it. Overall the place is lovely and if money isn’t a bother to you, then you would like it as the food is nice. The waitress was not aware of her surroundings and wouldn’t take menus away, didn’t provide a napkin for each person, didn’t ask if we needed anything else. If you are paying more for your food, you expect you get the touch little more better customer service.More
Food was outstanding and the service was excellent… The owner was humble enough to get into the trenches and talk to the customers… clean up after the customers and Serv and take orders with a smile a joke and just down right positive attitude….. He...obviously cares for his business and it shows… we will be going back!!!More
Friendly service. Best breakfast I have had in a while. The 'Smashed Avo' was delicious. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to Coffs Harbour.
Hello punters. Well visited this establishment for breakfast on a trip to CH; nice enough place , first thing was very sticky table(my pet hate!) – now I ordered the HOUSE SAVOURY MINCE / Savoury mince, poached egg w toasted sourdough on the side for...the princely sum of $25,95 (I did not take the cheese option). What arrived was abysmal, the sourdough was a baguette cut into 7cm rounds 2cm thick, oh and over cooked; the mince was in a bowl and was equivalent to 3 tablespoons worth! - with a inane flavour profile I will add. Ok let’s look at the price; I make this at home(like always) the bowl presented contained 248G of product(I created at home), so mince, carrot, onion, gravy and secret spice!; a kilo of mince retail is $13, let say it’s in round figures 200g – so 5 serves from a kilo, $2.60 per serve, then other item I costed at 0.43/serve – now at just over $3 a serve; overheads now let’s be generous $5……ta dah; this dude is making $15 serve; yep that’s $75 profit on kilo mince. And then add surcharge , if the meals was correct this is not a issues but, this dude is pushing 40% before the surcharge!....,My local provides way better for $15.95 and serve is close to double. I see many glowing reviews, my response is maybe possibly; but really it’s a touch above average café; prices are OTT and service was barely acceptable; To finish the java rates at 3.9/5 – so nice enough, and prices here are acceptable. My partner ordered ERNIES BREKKY ROLL $18!!...for what is generally priced at $12, and given the quantity and quality of ingredients $12 is all it deserves. We change venue the following day down the road, service with a smile java 4.3/5 and food price , quantity, quality all on point. To others doing reviews, make them REAL…..More
I started to read your review & got 1/4 of the way through & I couldn't stomach your cringe worthy negative penny pinching novel any longer. Have you seen the 'Ghost of Christmas' by Charlse Dickins. The scrooge character in this epic novel & film...More
My wife & I had breakfast here, absolutely amazing! I had the breakfast savoury mince and it was amazing! 10 out of 10. Great friendly service, good coffee & that breakfast was the best I’ve had
Ernie’s is fabulous! We picked up coffees and pastries which were both amazing. Also a great spot for dine-in, a stone’s throw from the Beach.
