I'm not vegetarian but I'm friends with vegetarians and I've eaten here quite a few times over the years. It's basically all your favourite Asian foods but vegan. It's better than it sounds. Please note that it's not called Kingsland anymore, it's changed its name...to Utopia. The prices have slightly increased but it's the same food it always was.More

Based upon reviews from Tripadvisor and Happycow was expecting something higher than average. The service was very average, and the food was served luke warm. Not good enough for a cold night in Canberra. The food should be hot. Taste and quality was average, hence...3 stars.More

My son is vegan and suggested we eat here. We were pleasantly surprised by how tasty all the meals were. My 10 year old even loved it. We would definitely go back again. Staff are lovely and friendly. Big thumbs up from our family.

I was vegan for a few years so I know how easy it can be done. But these guys just take it to the next level. I live in Melbourne but am always craving Kingsland food. In particular the chicken "Drumsticks". They are a taste...that you can't forget!! I always have at least one meal when I am visiting Canberra. The prices are very reasonable and I just wish that I could eat more food in one sitting. I have tried so much off the menu and can honestly say the only dish I haven't been in love with was the salt and pepper tofu. For my taste buds, this one didn't quite hit the mark. But the mock meats are ridiculously amazing!More

This restaurant offers incredibly cheap food. However, While the meals came out promptly they were only OK without being outstanding. Service from the daydreaming waitress could’ve been more snappy.

While visiting Canberra to see our daughter, son-in-law and the 7year old twin grand daughters, we decided to take the family out to dinner, to the place the twins might choose. Without hesitation, the twins both chorused “Mushroom Balls” which is their name for Kingsland...Vegan Restaurant- and also their favourite dish. We had a great feast in a very clean, calm and quiet atmosphere. I loved all the food, and I especially recommend the fried eggplant and the bird’s nest dish made with deep fried potato strips.More

A pleasant experience of order being taken and the meal served promptly. We enjoyed both entrees and mains with a freshly brewed pot of jasmine tea.

We have been to Kingsland a few times now, but this was definitely the worst. The restaurant felt grotty and the furniture and cutlery looks run down. The service is terrible. The waiters don’t bother talking to you and if you want something else, you...have to find them in the restaurant. The food took ages to come, and it was not worth the wait. The only good dishes we had were the chicken balls and roast chicken. The fried rice was just oily rice with a few pieces of vegetables and “ham”. Everything else was pretty tasteless and cooked badly. We will not be coming back!More

This is our 3rd visit an easily the worst. Food was burnt - the place has definitely gone down hill. Waiting to stop feeling sick. Place feels grotty and dirty. Won't go back.
