The food was delicious however we asked for the starters and the mains to come at once but we got the starters first and then the mains after. Our drinks order got missed up and after 20 min. Still no drinks we had re-asked for...our drinks we finally got them. And then we ordered the steak but we didn’t receive steak knives we had to ask for them. For a hundred dollars per head you would expect a better service. But very well done to the kitchen.More

Good atmosphere and staff, but overpriced

Great staff and nice venue but unfortunately overpriced for the amount and quality of the food. The bench seats against the wall are not very comfortable either.

Frugal serving and overpriced

We had dinner on the 5th of December, 2023 with friends. The place was extremely noisy that we could hardly hear the waiter. We ordered the charcuterie board for 4 people but it was extremely frugal for 4 people. For the main course we ordered...slow braised beef cheeks & murray cod. We were very disappointed with the very small amount of food and highly overpriced for what you get. We ended coming home and having something to eat. We will never come back.More

Nice spot to relax

Located as part of the Avenue Hotel but with easy street access. Nice bar and decor to kick back and relax. Great lunch menu and large served of tasty food. Really liked this place.

Poor food poor service

We went to Marble & Grain for a celebratory dinner and it was just terrible. I cannot recall ever going to a restaurant with worse service, we waited an hour for two cocktails and the food service was also slo. I ordered a $75.00 special...21 day dry aged sirloin which was dry and not much better than a typical pub-fare steak. To top it off my wife found a shard of glass in her meal!! I raised this with the manager who offered to replace her meal or offered a free glass of wine but frankly it was terrible. Poor service, noisy, poor food and glass in the meal!!!??? Avoid this place there are many better restaurants in ACTMore

Not a good dining experience

A group of 8 people went to Marble & Grain for my friend's birthday, and the foods are not as good as they used to be. New chef? new management? All of the waiting staff are unprofessional. For instance, they have no idea of what...dishes are they when putting on our table, have no idea of whether or not they still validate parking ticket like they used to be, and they do not know if they accept American Express credit card or not and just ask me to tap my card and see if it works and of cause they know nothing about the percentage of a credit card surcharge. We definitely won't go back.More

Lovely environment with a great lunch menu.

The set menu for lunch is very good value. The chicken schnitzel was nice and juicy however the crust was a bit hard. The lovely gravy solved that issue when applied liberally and allowed to soak. Service was prompt and friendly.

Very nice dinner

One of the best in Canberra

One of the best in Canberra. Good menu design ( mix of sea food and red meat). Sides are the awesome complement for the steak. Sauteed vege is out of the world. Will come back soon when we will be back in canberra.

Best steak restaurant in Canberra

The best steak restaurant in whole canberra. The vast menu. We had the steak tartar, prawn for entree. Oh man!! The best steak tartar i have ever had in my whole life. The presentation of the lamb and Duck was just Wow. In one word...top class. Desert menu is also very good. Overall my, whole family was happy. We are really coming back.More

Disapointed

Very disappointed -Overrated for a special occasion. seated in a thoroughfare, it was cold and uncomfortable next to the kitchen wasting staff lean over benches on their phones.
